    Yes, you are eligible to apply for IES Examination after completing your Engineering degree course.

    IES stands for Indian Engineering services examination and this examination is Conducted by UPSC Every year for the recruitment to the four categories of engineering services :

    >> Civil Engineering
    >> Mechanical Engineering
    >> Electrical Engineering
    >> Electronics & telecommunication Engineering.

    If you have completed your Engineering degree course in any one of the Discipline, then you are eligible for IES Examination. To appear for this examination, you have to completed your engineering degree course and your age should between 21 to 30 Years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates. Final year appearing candidates are also apply for IES Examination

    The Notification of IES 2012 Examination will be Published soon on 25/Feb/2012 in the employment Newspaper or in the UPSC Website. Last date of apply for IES Examination Online : 26/March/2012.

    >> Examination date : 15/June/2012.

    So, If you are Interested in this examination, then please wait for the Notification and then apply for this examination Online. You can apply for this examination "N" Number of times between the age of 21 to 30 years.

    Eligible candidates may fill the application form Online Only, there is no offline application form Facility from this year, You have to pay the fees through SBI Debit/ Credit Card or Pay the fees direct in SBI Bank and then you are eligible to fill online application form.

    Examination Pattern:

    The selection in this examination are based on Entrance examination and in the test there are 3 papers and you have to cracked all these papers.

    >> General Ability Test
    >> Objective Papers
    >> Conventional Papers

    Paper I is an objective type General Ability Test in this test there are 2 parts :

    >> Part I : General English
    >> Part II : General Studies

    So, Please Prepare for IES Examination according to the syllabus and Pattern. The syllabus is availiable in the official UPSC Website.

    Those who cracked the written test are eligible for Interview for final selection.
