    Hello. CA(chartered Accountant)
The basic foundation for CA course is that u must take IIIrd group in your 12th std(higher secondary)That is commerce, acccountancy, economics, with business maths.
this will really help you to continue for college course B.Com. With that you must go for chartered accountant(CA) coaching classes while pursuing your college degree.

Re: Basic foundation required for CA course?

I think by basic foundation you mean the knowledge foundation for CA. Well CA is such a course which you can do after your higher secondary also. So that means, you will be able to do it like your graduation also. Now for CA or chartered accountancy, it is obvious that commerce background must be solid. So that means if you are not from 12th commerce background, you will not be able to cope up with the CA course.
Now if you are good in accounts, a little bit of economics and taxation, quantitative aptitude etc. then a little bit of preparation will help you through the entrance examination of CA. The entrance examination is known as CPT. You have one more examination called IPCC. You can sit for any of those. the question pattern is of objective type. So be careful, if you guess and give wrong answers then points will be deducted. You need around 50% or more marks in these entrance examinations to be admitted in the CA course. Once you enter CA you need to complete it within a maximum of 5 years. So study hard!!
