Yenepoya University Mangalore Medical Entrance Examination

Mangalore Medical Entrance Examination is an all India level entrance exam carried out by Yenepoya University. The exam is conducted for selection of eligible candidates to MBBS and BDS courses. Those who obtain valid score in the entrance test can expect admission in any of the medical and dental colleges affiliated to the University.

Structure and Pattern of Yenepoya University Mangalore Medical Entrance Examination

The exam is carried out as a single paper test. The objective model test covers questions from Physics, chemistry and biology. There will be different choices for each question, from which the candidate has to identify the right one. Right answers carry one mark each. No marks are deducted for wrong answers or unattended questions.

Eligibility required for Yenepoya University Mangalore Medical Entrance Examination

Those students who have completed their intermediate class studies in Karnataka state are eligible to attend the exam. The studies must be carried out with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as main subjects. They should obtain a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in these subjects. Bachelor of Science degree holders are also eligible to attend the examination. 50% of the MBBS/BDS seats offered by the University are reserved for general category candidates where as 40% is for reserved group candidates.

Application procedure of Yenepoya University Mangalore Medical Entrance Examination

The forms for applying the entrance exam can be obtained from Yenepoya University or from their official website (www.yenepoya.edu.in). The cost of the application form is Rs. 250/-. This amount can be paid in the form of demand draft in favor of Yenepoya University. Completely filled applications must be submitted along with demand draft of Rs. 500/- in favor of the University payable at Mangalore. Online mode of application submission is also possible.
