    Will I be eligible for NET (English) exam after M.Ed?

    hello I am doing b.ed and after this I want to do net in English but I do 'nt have 55percent in m.a English if I will be do m ed then am I eligiable for a net exmination

    -educational qualification=candidate must have score minimum of 55% in master degree or equivalent qualification from university /institute recognized by UGC in humanities (including languages),social science ,computer science and application,electronic science etc

    -candidate who belongs to SC/ST/PWD category=minimum marks is 50%

    -candidate who are in final year,who had given the exam and waiting for the results,whose exams are postponed can also appear for the NET exam

    -candidate who scored 50% in master degree are eligible for JRF

    documents required=

    hard copy of application form
    master degree passed memo marks
    attested copy of category certificate

    **if you posses the above mention criteria,then you can apply for the NET exam

    Hi aspirant,

    Yes, Of course a Post Graduated student is gladly welcomed to give National Eligibility Test.

    Master degree course is the Basic educational qualification to apply for NET Entrance Examination and It's mandatory to apply for NET Entrance Examination .

    NET stands for National Eligibility Test and this Entrance Examination is Organized by University Grants Commission and This Entrance Examination held Twice in a Year during the month of June and December.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    Educational Qualification:

    Post Graduate course degree course with Minimum 55% Percentage of marks form a recognized university are make the candidate eligible for this NET Entrance Examination .

    Final year candidate of Master degree course may also eligible to apply for NET Entrance Examination .

    But you have to complete your Master degree at any cost., Having any backlogs will make ineligible to apply for National Eligibility Test.

    Age Criteria :

    --> For Lectureship Post :- There is No Upper age .

    --> For JRF Post :- Minimum 19 years and Maximum 28 years and Upper age relaxation will be applicable for sc/st candidates and obc candidates .

    After Completing Master degree course you're eligible to apply for Lectureship Post or Junior Research Fellowship Post.

    The Notification for this Entrance Examination released in Employment news paper and Offiicial website of UGC . You may apply for this Entrance Examination in Online Mode by the Visiting the Official website of UGC .

    • NET stand's for national eligibility test.This NET is conducted by UGC twice in a year.
    • A post Graduate degree holder having 55% marks can write NET entrance exam.
    • Relaxations are there.
    • Nationality: Indian.
    • Validity of Net score card is 2(two) years.
    • Attempts: 3(three)times.
    • This NET score enables to get lecturer ship jobs in Govt Colleges,also help to get scholor ship for JRF students.
