DEAR common proficiency test(CPT) is an entry level test for the charted accountancy ,you must pass 10+2 to eligible for this exam,you may belong to any branch in 12th to get eligible.

• this test consists of accounting,
• mercantile laws,
• general economics,

and quantitative aptitude which carries 200 marks, thsi test is an objective type test.
the exam is divided into two sections like
section-A

• fundamentals of accounting,:- this carries 60 marks
• merchant laws :-this carries 40 marks , you have to attempt in two hours

section-B

• general economics:-50 marks
• quantitative aptitude:- 50 marks , you have to attempt this two in two hours.

you have to get 50% of marks to qualify for the nest round .
you have to buy the prospectus remitting rs.100 , the applications are available in the prospectus, and you can also download from teh official website of ICAI,
