    Will I be eligible to become an IAS officer after completing graduation in AIIMS? If yes, Recommend some tips for same?

    Hello, I am in 9th class. I am keen to take up Medical in 11th & 12th classes & then I want to graduate from AIIMS. Would I be eligible to become an IAS Officer? If yes, then recommend me some tips.

    Yes, You are Eligible to become IAS Officer after completing your Graduated degree course from a recognized University.

    Nice to see that you are very clear about your Goals and Interested to become IAS Officer.

    IAS Stands for Indian Administrative Services examination and to become IAS Officer you have to cracked the UPSC Civil services examination. This examination is Conducted by UPSC Every year and the examination is Conducted into 2 parts :

    >> Preliminary examination : It is also called Civil services Aptitude test (CSAT) and there are 2 papers in this examination and Both are Objective and if you cracked this examination, Only then you are eligible for Main examination.

    >> Main examination : This examination is Descriptive and there are 9 papers in this examination and you have to choose the subjects on the basis of Graduation degree course.

    Eligibility Criteria :
    ----------------

    >> To apply for this examination, you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognized University.

    >> Final year appearing candidates are also apply for this examination

    >> Your age should between 21 to 30 Years, upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates

    Number of Attempts :
    --------------------

    >> For General Candidates : 4 Attempts
    >> For OBC Candidates : 7 Attempts
    >> For SC/ST : No Limits

    The Notification of this examination will be Published soon on 04/Feb/2012

    The last date of apply for this examination 05/March/2012

    Preliminary examination Date : 20/May/2012

    Eligible candidates may fill the application form Online By visit the UPSC Website, There is no offline application from Facility from this year, So please wait for the Notification.

    You have to choose the subjects from the given List and please prepare well for this examination as per the given pattern.

    Now you are not eligible to apply for this examination but after completing your graduation,then you are eligible to apply for this examination.

    IAS Stands for Indian Administrative Service Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission Once in a year.

    To become a IAS officer,then you need to crack the civil Service examination and this examination can be divided into three stage :- 1)Preliminary 2)main 3)Personal Interview.

    Preliminary examination can be divided into two papers and both the papers are objective type question and duration of this examination is 2 hrs each.

    Main examination can be divided into 9 nine papers and all the papers Descriptive type question.There is two optional Subjects to select according to the candidate interest.

    Eligibility Criteria :-

    >>>To apply for this examination,the candidate should be completed graduate degree in any discipline of a recognized University.
    >>>Those who are pursing in the final year of degree course may also eligible to apply for this examination.
    >>>Your age should be between 21 years and 30 years to apply for this examination.

    Number of Attempts :-

    -For SC/ST :- No restriction
    -For OBC :- 7 attempts
    -For Gen :- 4 attempts
