Re: Why Computer science engineering is not included in IES Entrance exam?

    Dear friend.
I am not able to understand your question properly. In the heading you mentioned the reason why CSE is not included and in the body you have said why it is included?
So kindly first clarify your question.

But let me bring to your kind notice that B.tech or B.E in computer science has been included in the Indian Engineering services.
According to the eligibility criteria of IES one must have either :
    >>bachelor degree in any engineering field recognised by the university
    >> diploma or degree from foreign university but recognised by the Indian government
    >> passed section A and B Exams of Institute of engineers or Aeronautical institute of India,
    >> obtained a degree from ETRE, londo
    >>passed section A and B Exams of ETCE, India

also you must be 21 to 30 years of age on the 1st of August with Indian/Bhutan/ Nepal/Tibetan refugee nationality.

So as mentioned above you need to have a graduate degree in engineering in any specialisation to become eligible. So that is why B.tech or B.E Computer science falls in IES.

    : :GOOD LUCK: :

    Hello Friend.....

IES is the Indian Engineering services which is guaranteed to the candidates who had completed their Graduation in Engineering Branches and there are only some restricted branches of engineering which are eligible for the IES Examination.....
Computer Science Engineering is not included in those IES As the computer science related fields of jobs are not available through the IES Examination.....

    Eligibility for IES:
    >>Age limit:

    >>Educational Qualifications:
you must have completed your graduation in the engineering branches such as....
    Civil engineering
    Mechanical Engineering
    Electrical engineering
    Electronics and Communication engineering
These are the four branches of study which are available for the Engineering Services examination.....

    Jobs available through IES Are.:
    >>Electrical engineering:
    *Indian Railways
    *Indian Railways Stores Services
    *Central Electrical and Mechanical
    *Indian Naval Armament Services
    *Central Power Engineering

    *Central Power
    *Indian Railways Stores
    *Indian Naval Armament
    *Indian Supply services
    *Indian defense Services
These are the different work areas which are available through the Indian Engineering services......
As these works are related to the Electrical and communication etc, works there is no involvement of the computer science engineering so there is no eligibility for the CSE Students in the IES....
