As per the recent decision of Central Education Board,following is criteria for eligibility for NTSE
1) He/She must be an Indian citizen
2) He/She must be studying in standard 10th

From this year i.e. 2013,NTSE will not be conducted for standard 8th

To appear for NTSE,
1) One must be an Indian citizen
2) He/She must be studying in standard 10th

From this year i.e. 2013,NTSE will not be conducted for 8th standard

As per latest NCERT rule all the candidates from 5 to 12 are eligible to appear for this exam.

But the notification for each level comes in different time every year.

In this scheme a scholarship is given to the desired candidates.
The examination will include questions from your class.
If your ranking will be under 100 then only you will be able to get the scholarship.

National talent search exam is conducted all over India to locate/identify talented students and nurturing them by providing them financial assistance. Here's detailed information regarding the exam:

1.Eligibility criteria:
All students of class X are eligible. School should be recognized by the government.
There is no domicile restriction.

2.Pattern of exam:
There will be 2 stages of exam:
Stage I: State level
Stage II: National level

In both the stages there will be 2 parts:
a. Mental Ability Test (MAT)
b. Scholastic Ability Test (SAT)

3.Syllabus:
The test covers:
social sciences
Sciences
Mathematics

4.Scholarships:
An amount of Rs 500 will be paid irrespective of class/course (except PhD) per month.

NTSE - National Talent Select Exam.

National Talent Search Examination(NTSE) is conducted by National Council of Education and Research Council(NCERT) every year.


Eligibility:

- You must be a citizen of India.

- You must a student of Class X from a recognized school .

- Only the candidates selected by State/UT's on the basis of screening examination are eligible to appear in National Level examination i.e.. Stage II examination.

The selection is a two stage process:


Stage- I:


Selection will be done by States through a written examination.


This comprises of Mental ability test and Scholastic ability test.


Stage- II:


The candidates who are selected in stage-I are selected for this exam.
