Whether PGDCPA is a good combination to study with LL.B?

Sir, I am a student of final year LL.B and I want to become a forensic expert (fingerprint/handwriting expert). Can you please let me know the procedure? Also are there any institutions offering distant education in this area. Is LL.B with PGDCPA a good combination?.

It is important to select a course which is of our interest. Since you aim to become a forensic expert it is important you select a course which best suits it. By pursuing a course in criminology and police administration you will be well aware of the systems involved in this area. There are also a lot of institutes which offer courses in areas related to forensic science. You have options like going in for Diploma course, MSc in Forensic Science, MA Criminology. Those interested can go in for PH.d Course. There are many institutes like Amity Institute Behavioural Health and Applied Sciences, National Institute of criminology and Forensic science, Punjab University which offer courses in these areas. Select the course which will help you the most.

As a LLB student who wants to become a forensic expert in the finger print and handwriting expert, you need to have keen eye and passion towards the subject. The PGDCPA course is a Post graduate diploma course in Criminology and Police Administration. The eligibility to join the course is a graduation from any field and it is a one year course. The annual course fee for the PGDCPA is Rs 5000/-. This program will provide a fundamental and professional understanding in the area of criminology and police administration. The candidates who take up this course will become experts in the same area. As you have an aim to become an expert in the fingerprint/handwriting area, after our LLB, doing this course will be helpful in understanding key elements in Criminology and Police Administration. This will give you an added advantage over others.
