For joining Railway,you can give SCRA exam.
Its form are available from November.
It is conducted by UPSC.
For details,you can visit-
www.upsc.gov.in

You can also givr RRB(Railway Recruitment Board)exam.

Railway recruits through Railway Recruitment Board and through UPSC.
You can check your regional railway website for publication of recruitment i.e http://rrbkolkata.org
Through UPSC there are two way to get into railway
1. SCRA (Special class railway apprentice exam) which you can appear after class 12
2. IES (Indian Engineering service)

when shall we get railway forms?

Now, the availability of railway application form has been past & that was 09-04-2012 upto 17.30 hrs for general condition.For Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti districts and Pangi sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman, Nicobar and Lakshwadeep islands and for candidates residing abroad, the closing date for receipt of applications by posts will be 24-04-2012 upto 17.30 hrs. So you have to wait for next year.

Hi friend,

If you mean SCRA then it has already crossed since it conducts its examination in 2nd last week of DEcember, and i guess they also conduct a second exam in, I guess June.
So, i will suggest to keep track of upsc.gov.in

By the way, for your information, SCRA only has about 50 seats of which 50% is reserved.

And if you mean simple Railways recruitment then keep checking regional railway website or keep track of it through Employment news,
