Engineering Services Examination 2012 calendar

Date of Notification : 10th March 2012
Date for the Last receipt of Application : 9th April 2012
Date of Examination : 15th June 2012

So dude you can get the notification published in all leading News Papers and Employment News papers, if you are satisfying the eligibility then you can go for applying the post.

The UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) conducts the Engineering Services Examination every year once, and you can apply for the examination through the Online mode from the following link www.upsconline.nic.in or

you can apply for the UPSC exam through a common application form available in all Head Post offices, you have to fill the relevany coulmn and send it to the UPSC office in time, you need not attach any copy of your certificates but it has to be shown at the time of the counselling.

If you have completed your Bachelor Degree in Engineering in any of the following streams then you will become eligible for the Engineering services examination

1. Civil Egineering
2. Mechanical Engineeering
3. Electrical Engineering
4. Electronics and Communication Engineering

Your age must also between 21 years and 30 years and there will be an age relaxation for special category as mentioned in the government orders like upper age limit 30 years is relaxable for upto 35 years for government servants.

IES stand for Indian Engineering Service which is conducted by UPSC.Only B-TECH degree holder and some M.Sc department are applicable for this exam.

If you have completed engineering discipline in following departments then you are eligible for IES exam

1.Civil Engineering
2.Electrical Engineering
3.Mechanical engineering.
4.Electronics and Communication Engineering.

If you have M.Sc degree in Physics , Radio Physics then you are applicable for IES exam.

The applicant age should between 21 yrs to 30 yrs.Age relaxation is provide for SC/ST/OBC candidate.

Final year student also eligible for IES exam .

Number of attempts for IES exam is for general student it is 4., for OBC it is 7 times. and for SC/ST it is 9 time.
