The Union Public Service Commission will hold the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2011 on 18th September, 2011 for admission to the following courses:
Indian Military Academy
Indian Naval Academy
Air Force Academy

The next exam of CDSE(Combined Defense Services Examination) will be held in August.It is held twice a year in February and august with the notifications coming in August and march.You can get admission into the IMA(Indian Military Academy),INA(Indian Naval Academy),OTA(Officers' Training Academy),AFA(Air Force Academy) depending on your interest and the educational qualifications.The exam can be given after graduation only or in the final year of study.After clearing this exam you will get a call letter to report at any one of the Air force selection boards located at Dehradun,Varanasi,and Mysore.here you will undergo a number of psychological tests,an interview and group tests.These are collectively called the Officer Like Qualities(OLQ) tests.After this step there is a thorough medical examination.Then an all India merit list is prepared based on the performance at the AFSB.For IMA(Indian Military Academy),Dehradun for joining the Indian Army,University Entry Scheme(UES) is there for engineers and can apply in army in the final/pre-final year.Engineers can also join IMA in the Technical Graduate Course(TGC).there is no written exam for this,other selection procedure is the same.

I am a BSc physics regular stream graduate. I am going to appear for SSB in this month. Besides that I am also planning to stydy MSc physics. But due to some reasons I would probably do my PG in correspondence and not in regular stream. So, later if I apply for a career in defence forces based on my PG qualification, is there any specification that it is only for candidates who have studied PG in regular stream and those who have done it in correspondence are not eligible?

CDS Educational Qualifications :

1. For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy : Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.

2. For Indian Naval Academy : Degree in Engineering for CDSE and Degree in Engineering or B.Sc. ( with Physics or Mathematics ) for NCC entry.

3. For Air Force Academy : Degree of recognized University ( with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level ) or Bachelor of Engineering.

CDSE is the combine defence service exam.Last exam was gone.so now you have to apply for next,still notification date is not released.but mostly CDSE exam notification date will be released in august or september and exam will be taken in febuary.so you have to wait for that.

CDSE Stand for Combined Defence Service Examination and this examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission . This examination is conducted two times in a year . CDS I examination was held on 12 / Feb / 2012 and CDS II examination will be held on 16 / 09 /12 . CDS II notification will be publish in the month of June in the official website as well as employment news paper .

Mainly CDS examination is conducted for recruitment of following defence services Military Academy , Naval Academy , Air force Academy and Officer Training Academy . Every Service have a there own qualities and qualification . To join these service the applicant have to completed bachelor's degree of a recognized University .

Military Academy :- Minimum Qualification to crack this examination , the applicant should have a finished bachelor's degree with pass marks of a recognized University or equivalent qualification and final year candidates are eligible to apply . Age limits should be between 19 years to 24 years .

Naval Academy :- Minimum Qualification to crack this examination , the applicant should have a finished B.Sc degree in Physics or Mathematics with minimum marks of a recognized University or equivalent qualification and final year candidates are eligible to apply . Age limits should be between 19 years to 22 years .

Air force Academy :- Minimum Qualification to crack this examination , the applicant should have a finished bachelor's degree or engineering with physics and mathematics at 12th level from a recognized University or equivalent qualification and final year candidates are eligible to apply . Age limits should be between 19 years to 23 years .

Officer Training Academy :- Minimum Qualification to crack this examination , the applicant should have a finished bachelor's degree with pass marks of a recognized University or equivalent qualification and final year candidates are eligible to apply . Age limits should be between 19 years to 25 years .

Next notification will be publish in the month of June(02.06.12) , last date for receipt of application is 02.07.12 and the examination will be held on 16.09.12 .

The applicant should be pay the fee by using the Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking or direct submission in SBI Branches .

This examination is Conducted by UPSC, Twice in a year. For this year CDS (I) Examination Notification was already declared and the last date of apply for this examination was already over.

The Recruitment of examination will be based on these Academy :


* IMA (Indian Military Academy) : You have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognized University and your age should between 19 to 24 Years.

* For Naval Academy : You have to complete your Graduate degree course with Maths and Physics as a compulsory Subjects and your age should between 19 to 22 Years.

* For Air Force Academy : You must have to complete your Graduate degree course with Maths and Physics as a compulsory subjects and your age should between 19 to 23 Years.

* For OTA (Officers Training Academy) : You have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognized University and your age should between 19 to 25 years.

The Notification of CDS (I) 2012 Notification was already Published and the last date of apply for this examination was already Over. So You cant fill the CDS Application form Online.

So, Please wait for the CDS (II) Examination Notification and then fill the application form Online. But Before fill the Online application form You have to Remit The fees Online by any one of the Modes.

How to Pay the CDS Examination Fees :

The application fees of CDS Examination is Rs 100 and you have to pay the fees through :

* Pay the fees by SBI Debit/Credit Card Online

* Pay the fees through SBI Net Banking

* Or Direct Submit fees in SBI Branches near by your area.

After Pay the fees, You are eligible to fill Online application form of CDS, So, please wait for the Notification and then fill the application form Online.
