    CTET is a Central Teacher Eligibility Test.

    Teacher(for classes I to V): Primary Stage

    Teacher(for classes Vi to VII): Elementary Stage


    Eligibility according to the Primary Stage:

    Graduation of two years Diploma in Elementary education.

    dear CTET (central teachers eligibility test) is the implementation of the right o f children to free and compulsory education (RTE )act ,2009 conducts the exam on the month of January and may,
    it will bring national standards and benchmark of teacher quality in the recruitment process.
    the eligibility for this exam for classes 1-5:-
    you have to complete 2 year diploma in elementary education or you may in final year to be eligible ,you have to get 50% of marks,(or)
    you have to complete 2 year diploma in elementary education or you may in final year to be eligible ,you have to get 45% of marks in accordance with NCTE regulations 2002.(or)
    you have to complete 4 year bachelor of elementary education or you may in final year to be eligible ,you have to get 50% of marks,(or)
    you have to complete 2 year diploma in education or you may in final year to be eligible ,you have to get 50% of marks
    eligibility for the classes 6-8 are,
    you must have bachelor in education with 50% of marks, or.

    CTET is an central teacher eligibility test which is conducted by the central board of secondary education i.e., CBSE.The eligibility criteria to write this test are:

    CTET stands for Central Teacher Eligibility Test.

    CTET exam is conducted by CBSE for recruting teachers for students from1 to 8th .

    These exam is conducted Once every year.

    For 1st to 5th :-

    You need to have passed the senior secondary with at least 50% marks .

    You can also apply if your in the final year of Diploma course.

    For 6th to 8th:-

    You need to have completed graduation in any streams with at least 50% marks.

    The exam consists of 2 papers.

    First paper for class 1st to 5th and seconf for class 6th to 8th.

    The exam is of 150 marks.

    If you are interested in teaching for both the batchs then you need to appear for both the exams.

    There is no age limit for this exam .

    So you can apply at any age.

    Application forms will be available from November.

    Last date of applying will be last of November.

    Last date of applying through post is 30th of November.

    Exam will be conducted in the month of Janurary mostly in the last week .

    Central Teacher Eligibility Test - CTET

    Eligibility for CTET:

    For primary stage (Classes I - IV) :
    You must have senior secondary education with at least 50% marks and 2 year diploma course in elementary education.
    For elementary stage (Classes VI – VIII) :
    You should have a graduate degree along with 2 year diploma in elementary education (Or) 1 year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) degree.

    Important:Senior secondary qualification with 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) or B.A / B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed candidates are also eligible.
    Syllabus for CTET is :

    Paper I for classes 1 to 5 duration of examination is one and half hours there is 150 Multiple Choice Questions given there will be 150 marks.

    CTET Syllabus :
    1. Child Development and Pedagogy – 30 questions and 30 marks
    2. Language I – 30 questions and 30 marks
    3. Language II – 30 questions and 30 marks
    4. Mathematics – 30 questions and 30 marks
    5. Environment Studies – 30 questions and 30 marks

    Exam pattern :

    CTET will consist of multiple choice questions (MCQs) each carrying 1 mark. There will be 150 MCQs for the primary stage test and 210 MCQs for Elementary Stage.

    Paper I will be who are applying the teacher post for classes I to V
    Child Development and Pedagogy

    Language-I

    Language-II,Mathematics

    Environmental Studies.

    Paper II will be who are applying the teacher post for classes VI to VIII.
    Child Development and Pedagogy,

    Language-I

    CTET Exam Score Validity :

    The score validity of CTET will be for 7 years from the date of declaration of its result.
