    Those candidate have completed masters degree from recognized university are eligible for NET exam.

    For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55%above in masters degree. SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree.

    Part time course are not eligible for NET exam.

    For Junior research fellowship course your age must be in between 19 to 28 years.

    For lectureship ,There is no upper age limit but the Minimum age is 19 years.

    NET exam is conduct because of govt college lecturer and PHD entrance.

    NEW PATTERN FOR NET EXAM

    For Paper I-

    It's has 60 Question.Out of 60 Question , you can answered 50 Question.Total marks of this paper is 100 marks.The time duration for this session is 1¼ Hours (09.30 a.m. to 10.45 a.m.)

    For Paper II-

    It has 50 question.All Question are compulsory . Total marks of this paper is 100 marks.The time duration for this session is 1¼ Hours (10.45 a.m. to 12.00 Noon.)

    For Paper III-

    It has 75 question.All Question are compulsory . Total marks of this paper is 150 marks.The time duration for this session is 2½ Hours (01.30 p.m. to 04.00 p.m.)




    EXAMINATION FEE
    • General Candidates: Rs.450/-
    • Other Backward Classes : Rs.225/-
    • SC/ST/PH/VH candidates: Rs.110/-

    IMPORTANT DATES ARE:

    Important Dates

    The UGC NET exam is held twice in a year. They are held in June 2012 and December 2011/2012. The notification details and other important announcement are made in March and September 2012 respectively. They can be also checked in The Employment News.

    Date of UGC NET entrance test by June last week, 2012.

    Notifications will be published by March last week, 2012
    Final date for online application April last Week, 2012
    Final date of submitting the documents at the center: May first Week, 2012
    Date of common entrance Exam is by December last week, 2011/2012
    Final date for submitting he completed form is by September end, 2011/2012

    NET Stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted by UGC(University Grants Commission).
    NET is conducted twice in a year.
    -June
    -December

    Eligibility for NET::


    >>You must have completed Mater degree(PG) in any steam from recognized university
    >>You must pass your PG with minimum of 55% marks
    >>50% for ST/SC/PH/Females
    >>Final year students are also eligible

    The Test is conducted in the following:
    - Humanities (including languages)
    - Social Sciences
    - Forensic Science
    - Environmental Sciences
    - Computer Science and Applications
    - Electronic Science


    Application Procedure for NET:

    You have to apply online before the specific date announced by UGC.

    Two print-outs of filled in online application form,exam attendance slip and admission card at the respective centers (with fee receipt and category certificates) are the documents required for applying to this exam.

    This will be of 450rs/- for General and 110 rs/- for SC/ST.

    You have to pay this through SBI Challan form Via Online.

    if you are in the final year of your masters degree programme than you are eligible for this exam ,not only that if you are belong to the SC/ST/PH than you may get 50% in your masters degree to get eligible,

    For giving UGC NET u need to have a master Degree with minimum 55% of marks.

    You can choose any subject from your master degree.UGC NET consists of three papers
    >General studies
    >Your optional paper-objective questions
    >Your optional paper-subjective questions

    Age limit:-

    For junior research fellowship the maximum age should be 28 years.
    For lectureship there is no upper age limit.

    NET is the National Eligiblity Test which conduct by UGC ( University Grant Commision) twice every year in June and December.

    Eligiblity Criteria for NET exam :-

    * Age to appear in the JRF exam should not more then 28 years and for lecturership there is no upper
    age limit.
    * You can appear in exam many times.There is no restriction for attempts.
    * Qualification should be post graduation with minimum 50% marks by a recognized university for
    both JRF and Lectureship.
    * If you are in the final year of post graduation then you can sit in the exam.
    * For NET exam you have to select that subject only by which you have done your post graduation.
    * JRF students can also apply for Lecturership exam.

    Notification for net exam of June month comes in the month of March and for December exam it comes in the month of September.
    After paying 450/- rs as a registration you can appear in the exam.

    NET Exam Dates for June Month...
    Application form submission will start from 29th March 2012
    Application form submission will close from 25th April 2012
    NET exam Date - 26th June 2012

    December Net exam will be held in the last week of the same month.Exact exam dates of december month will be decleare after coming the notification of the same month.

    The process of submission of form for NET exam generally used to start in the months of April and Aught and exams are conducted in June and December months of year respectively. This exam is held by University Grant Commission (UGC). You must have minimum qualification of post graduate (PG)with 55% marks. UGC conducts three kinds of NET exams. These exams are :- General Studies, your optional paper - subjective questions, your optional paper - objective questions. The type of NET exam for a particular applicant depend upon the subjects which he choose from his master degree. The attempt duration for the exam is 1.25 hours. NET conducts the exam for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) and Lecturership. For JRF age limit should be 19-28 years while for lectureship minimum age requirement is 19 years and maximum is unlimited.......

    National Eligibility Test (NET) Exam




    University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) every year.

    It is conducted to determine eligibility of entrants for lectureship or to award Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

    You can also appear for both at the same time.

    Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts UGC-CSIR NET for certain Science subjects like Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, and Chemical Sciences etc.

    The real aim of conducting NET exam is to ensure that only qualified professionals with minimum standards are getting into teaching profession and research.

    It is conducted twice a year i. e; during the month of June and December.

    The notification regarding the exam will be published through leading newspapers during March and September respectively.
    Structure and Pattern of NET exam

    For both lectureship and JRF same question paper is prepared by UGC

    It constitutes subjects as follows;

    Paper I -Objective Type- General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Reasoning Ability and Quantitative Methods (50 questions) – 100 Marks

    Paper II- Objective Type – Core Subject (50 questions)- 100 Marks

    Paper III- Descriptive Type – Core Subject – will have four sections. Section 1- 5x5= 25 marks (30 words), Section 2 –15x5=75 marks (30 words), Section 3- 5x12= 60 marks (200 words) and Section 4- 1x40= 40 marks(1000 words)

    Grand Total = 400 marks




    Qualification Criteria for NET exam

    You must have completed Post Graduation in the desired subject.

    They must have secured Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% from any reputed college under UGC recognition.

    If You are appearing for last semester exam ; You can even attend NET exam.

    Thirty Five years is the maximum age limit.

    There is relaxation of 3 years OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

    NET Stands for National Eligibility Test and this examination is conducted by University Grants Commission twice in a year . This examination will held in the month of June and December . June notification was already released and the examination was also already completed on 24/06/12 .

    Eligibility Criteria :-

    Those who have a passed their post graduate degree in any discipline OR equivalent qualification of a recognized University .

    Those who are pursing in the final year of master degree may also eligible to apply for NET Examination .

    Junior Research Fellowship age is not more than 28 years and Upper age limits is also applicable .

    There is no Upper age limits for Lectureship examination .

    You must secure at least 55% aggregate marks for General and OBC candidates .

    50% aggregate marks of reserved categories like SC/ST/VH/PH candidates .

    This examination is conducted twice in a year .

    Next notification will be expected in the month of OCT OR Sept in the official website of UGC as well as employment news papers and other leading news papers also .

    NET stands for National eligibility TEST.

    NET examination is conducted by UGC every year two times in one year in the month of June and December.


    Eligibility for NET:

    you must have PG degree minimum passed with 55 % from a recognized university.
    Less than above percentage are not eligible for examination.


    The examination is conducted for two post :

    JRF post
    Lecturer post.

    UGC ( Union Grant Commission ) every year two times conducts the examination in the month of June and December .
    Examination Notification were published on website before the date of examination to be held.

    The candidates have to visit to UGC website and read all the Instruction about filling the application .
