    When to apply for BSNL JTO Exam while pursuing B.Tech 4th year? How to apply for it? What is the procedure for the same?

    i am studying BE 4th year ineed to know when can i write the JTO exam and hw to appiy for it

    Hello friend,
    Every final year student of B tech shall be eligible to apply for the JTO exam of BSNL and the notification shall be released in february 2012.
    Please refer official website of BSNl and employment news for exact dates of release of JTO exams.
    The exam shall mainly contain core subjects and general aptitude as the pattern.

    The eligibility criteria for BSNL junior telecome officer is as follows:
    eligibility-:
    only Indian nations would be eliglible to apply .
    Applicants must pocesses Bachelor of engineering / bachelor of technology or equivalent engineering in any of following disciplines from a recognised engineering colleges /university.
    1- Telecommunication
    2-Electronics
    3- Radio
    4-Computer
    The recruitment will be made centrally by BSNL & JTOS so recruited will be alloted territorial /functional circles depending on vacanies ,then choice & merit a list of the existing territorial circles,then headquaters etc.
    The JTO is a circle based cadre &
    the candidates would be selected against the vacancies in paticular circle and required to serve minimum of 5 years in the particular circle oniy or until they are promoted to all India cadre.whichever in earlier.
    However the officiers are liable to be transferred anywhere in India in the intereste of service.
    Applicant shall have option to be considered for a particular circle of His/Her choice in order of prefrence given his/her in applicants examination.
    Option once excersied shall be final .no other chance be allowed than.
    Applicants may opt for 5 circles in order of their performance from amongst the circles at annexure -A
    in order of their preference then "any where in India" as the sixth choices.
    A successful applicant will however get appointment in the circle of choice stritly depending upon his/her position in the merit list drawn on the basis of His/her performance in the All india competetive examination & the number of vacancies available in the circles.
