    please tell me What will be the cutoff of CSAT prelims in this academic year?

    Hiiiiiiii,
    Civil Service Aptitude Test(CSAT) Cutoff are as follows:
    This the question paper will consists of 150 questions out of which 113 were Multiple choice.
    It is hard to predict exactly what will be cutoff, those institute which are giving exact figure are just considering the marks of few people that too of their bright students while the actual scene may be different.so my personal view is that cutoff this time will be low.

    CSAT stands for Civil Service Aptitude Test.it has been started from 2011.
    The candidates who can successfully pass the Civil Services Exam Mains and Interview will be appointed for the IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS etc.
    It has 2 compulsory paper of 200 marks each and 2 hours duration for each paper.
    All the quaestions are objective type.

    Paper I - (200 marks) Duration: Two hours



    - Current events of national and international importance

    - History of India and Indian National Movement

    - Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic geography of India and the World.

    - Indian Polity and Governance – Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.

    - Economic and Social Development – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector Initiatives, etc.

    - General issues on Environmental ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialization

    - General Science.



    Paper II- (200 marks) Duration: Two hours



    - Comprehension

    - Interpersonal skills including communication skills

    - Logical reasoning and analytical ability

    - Decision making and problem solving

    - General mental ability

    - Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. -Class X level)

    - English Language Comprehension skills (Class X level).

    Hi there are 150 question comes in CSAT exam
    objective type question and cut off is .25 per question
    at the time of exam mark only those question who you know well other dont do marks in air

    The Civil Services Aptitude Test the most prestigious and highest rated exams conducted in the India for finding the best brains in the country for the recruitment in the Indian Administrative Services or generally called the Civil Services.

    Apart from the Indian Administrative Services, admission to other sectors like the Indian Police Service, Indian Foreign Services etc are also done on the basis on the merit occupied by the candidates in the Civil Services Aptitude Test.

    Structure of CSAT

    The Civil Services Aptitude Test is conducted in India by the Union Public Service Commission.

    Syllabus for CSAT

    The syllabus of the Civil Services Aptitude Test contains two compulsory subjects of two hundred marks each. Both the exams are of two hours duration.

    Part I contain:
    • Indian History (Both pre and post independence era)
    • General Science
    • Economics
    • Indian Politics
    • Current affairs questions of national and international importance.
    • Questions relating to environment, biodiversity, geographic regions etc.

    Part II contains
    • General Mental Ability
    • Analytical and Logical Ability
    • Decision making and problem solving
    • Interpersonal and Communication Skills
    • English Language and Comprehension skills.
    • Basic Numerical Ability

    Eligibility Criteria for CSAT

    The eligibility for The Civil Services Aptitude Test is given as follows:

    Age: The candidate should have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years.

    Nationality: The subject should be an Indian National either by birth or otherwise. Or

    A subject of Bhutan Or
    A subject of Nepal Or
    A Tibetan refuge

    Educational qualification: The candidate should posses a valid degree from a recognized university.


    Important dates (Tentative)

    The date of notification will be on: Mid Week of February , 2012

    The last date for receipt of CSAT applications is on: Third Week of March , 2012

    The date of commencement of CSAT exam is: Second Week of June, 2012
