    SYLLABUS FOR UGC NET EXAM FOR CLASSICAL VOCAL

    NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conduct twice time in year by UGC.This test conduct for lectureship , PHD and JRF .


    Those candidate have completed masters degree from recognized university are eligible for NET exam but their is also some marks criteria.


    For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55% above marks in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree.


    NET Exam date for June session Already announced by UGC.So i have provide the proper exam notification .You can check it out.


    From this year NET conduct MCQ type question for PAPER I , II and III so you can prepare those pattern.

    hello,
    NET(national education testing) is conducted by The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF)
    There are 94 different subjects and the code for music subject is 16

    dear you have subjects like music
    which consists of multiple choices and fill in the blanks types ,it includes topics like general in nature and the core syllabi covered by the most of the universities .
    paper-2 will have two parts
    • part -A,
    • part-B,
    part--A
    Consists of 25 multiple questions common for
    • Hindustani,
    • Karnataka,
    • rabindra sangeet and percussion,
    part-B
    while this part will have separate section for each specialized areas as mentions above having 25 multiple questions for part-A invariable and 25 multiple questions from their specialized areas such as
    • Hindustani,
    • Karnataka,
    • rabindra sangeet and percussion,
    paper-3 will have two parts
    • part -A,
    • part-B
    consists of 10 units having two questions each from the syllabus of paper-2,you have to attempt ten questions by selecting one unit.
    paper-2 and 3[A] syllabus
    • technical-terminology,
    • applied theory,
    • composition forms and their evolution,
    • gharanas and gayaki,
    • contribution of scholars to Indian music and their textual tradition,
    • historical perspective of music,
    • aesthetics,
    • instruments and dance,

    paper-3 [B.] optional,
    elective-1
    • aesthetics,rasa,
    elective-2
    • gsharansa baj, sampradyaa, composers and musicians,
    elective-3,
    • interdisciplinary studies in music such as music and philosophy, music ad religion music and culture,music and social science,music and science.

    • new trends of Indian music inpost independence era,

    • research in music and its avenue ,music education
