    The Test is conducted in Humanities (including languages), Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science and Applications and Electronic Science. Recently, it had also declared that Bodo has been included as a subject for the NET Exam.

    NET exam is carried out mainly for candidates who are interested in lectureship. The exam is carried out by UGC. Post graduation with 55% marks is the qualification required for the examination. The syllabus of the exam is different for different streams. The candidate can expect questions from the syllabus of master degree of the concerned subject. The candidate can collect details regarding the exam syllabus from the official website of UGC. Other details regarding the exam can also be obtained from the site itself.

    NET stands for National Eligiblity Test and this examination is Conducted by UGC, Twice in a year and this examination is Conducted to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

    To apply for this examination you have to complete your Post graduate degree course in any discipline from a recognised University. Final year appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for NET Examination, But Only those candidates are eligible for NET Examination, who have scored minimum 55% marks in Post Graduation. If you have not scored minimum 55% marks then you are not eligible for NET Examination.

    You can apply for Lectureship Post or Junior Research Fellowship Post.

    There is no Upper age restriction to apply for Lectureship Post, But you have to attained 19 Years of age.

    For Junior Research Fellowship Post, Your age should not be more than 28 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

    There are 3 Papers in NET Examination and all are conducted in same day in 2 session, The first 2 papers is Objective and it is conducted in 1st session, The last paper is Descriptive.

    You have to choose the Subjects in NET on the Basis of Post graduation.

    The Syllabus and Previous year paper of NET Examination is availiable in the official website, So please check the official website and download the syllabus from there.

    The examination fees of NET is Rs 450 and you have to pay the fees through Challan form in SBI Bank and then you are eligible to fill Online application form of NET.

    For Previous year Both NET Examination was completed and if you have missed the chance in this year, then please apply for this examination next year. The Notification of June NET Examination will be Published soon in the month of April 2012. So please wait for the Notification and then apply if you have completed your Post graduate degree course.

    National Eligibility Test is a national Level exam Conducted by the University Grants Commission every year for the post of professors and the lecturers in the top of the line universities and colleges acroos India. The exam not only provides the lecturership opportunities but also help the students financially by providing them the scholarship amount. The exam is conducted on a national level basis.
    There are other such exams conducted by the UGC like the:
    *UGC- Junior Research Fellowship(JRF)
    *UGC-State Level Entrance Test(SLET)


    To be eligible for the exam:
    *you have to be 21 years of age. There is no maximum age barrier and that is why the candidates with any age above 21 can apply for the exam
    *you have to be an Indian national
    *you have to be a post graduate in any discipline with 55% marks for the General category. There is 5% relaxation for the reserved category candidates.

    The syllabus of the exam is determined by the subjects you have studied in the post grauation and before that. Following are the subjects that are included in the exam based on the choice of the candidates:

    National Eligibility Test (NET):
    The National Eligibility Test is conducted by the University Grants Commission and this examination is mainly conducted for the candidates to determine the candidate for the Lectureship and the Junior Research Fellow Ship and this examination is very important for getting the posts in the Universities.....
    The candidates who had been Qualified in the NET of the Lectureship are going to be selected for any of the universities and are also awarded the JRF.Candidates must be explicitlly mention in the application form that whether they are going to apply for both the JRF and also the Lectureship,if you had applied only for lectureship you will not receive the JRF.....
    You must qualify in all three levels of examinations in order to get Lectureship and also the JRF.......

    The examination is mainly conducted on the syllabus such as
    Humanities
    Languages
    Social Science
    Forensic Science
    Environmental Sciences
    computer Science
    Electronic Science
    These are the syllabus for the National Eligibility Test and you must select in which you are interested.......

    There is also required eligibility criteria for the NET Examination to be followed,such as.....

    and also should get at least 55% of marks in the Master Degree course.....
    *You can also apply even if you are in the finale year of master degree program.....
    *Candidates whose post graduate degree has not been specified in the list can apply by selecting one of the subject from the list.....
    *You should not exceed the age of 28 years and the age relaxations other then the general candidates are up to 5 years.....

    National Eligibility Test (NET) Exam

    University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) every year.

    It is conducted to determine eligibility of entrants for lectureship or to award Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

    You can also appear for both at the same time.

    Qualification Criteria for NET exam

    You must have completed Post Graduation in the desired subject.

    They must have secured Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% from any reputed college under UGC recognition.

    If You are appearing for last semester exam ; You can even attend NET exam.

    Thirty Five years is the maximum age limit.

    There is relaxation of 3 years OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

    NET stands for National Eligibility Test which is conducted by UGC.This exam will be happened twice time in a year.


    Those candidate have completed masters degree from recognized university are eligible for NET exam.


    For general and OBC candidate must be scored 55% above in masters degree. For SC/ST candidate scored 50% above in masters degree.


    There is no age criteria for Lecturer ship Post but in the case of JRF your age maximum age should be 28 years.


    NEW PATTERN FOR NET EXAM:-


    From this year NET exam is fully objective based , There is no subjective Paper.


    So this is really good news for NET competitor.


    For Paper I-

    It's has 60 Question.Out of 60 Question , you can answered 50 Question.Total marks of this paper is 100 marks.The time duration for this session is 1¼ Hours (09.30 a.m. to 10.45 a.m.)


    For Paper II-


    It has 50 question.All Question are compulsory . Total marks of this paper is 100 marks.The time duration for this session is 1¼ Hours (10.45 a.m. to 12.00 Noon.)


    For Paper III-


    It has 75 question.All Question are compulsory . Total marks of this paper is 150 marks.The time duration for this session is 2½ Hours (01.30 p.m. to 04.00 p.m.)
