    Hello Friend !!

    GATE -- Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering .

    This is an Entrance Exam conducted Nation wide.

    The main objective of this Exam is to Admit the eligible Candidates into M.Tech Course.

    i.e Through GATE Score you can take admission into M.Tech course.

    Eligibility Criteria :

    You must a B.E / B.Tech Graduate to apply for GATE Exam.

    You can also appear when you are in the Final year of B.E / B.Tech.

    Else you must be PG in M.Sc after Bachelors Degree.

    Tentative Dates of GATE Exam :

    The application forms can collected online on September 4th week.

    The forms are available until October 3rd week.

    The application forms can be collected from the GATE office counters at the end of October.

    Filled forms can submitted online until October last week and offline before November 1st week.

    The GATE exam carried out in the month of February.

    The results come out by March mid week.

    And note you only have the option to apply Online, no other Mode is accepted.

    THE ELIGIBILITY FOR GATE EXAM:-

    (a) Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent.


    (b) Bachelor’s degree holders in Science/Mathematics/Statistics/Computer Science/Electronics/ followed by qualifications obtained through an examination conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE.


    (c) Bachelor’s degree holders in Architecture/Design (for M Des program only)


    (d) Master’s degree holders in Physics with Electronics/Instrumentation (for M Tech programs).



    NOTE:-


    >>There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam.You can apply here maximum time.

    GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

    If you are really Interested for GATE Examination then please prepared for this examination as per the pattern and syllabus.     GATE Examination:
    Graduate Aptitude Test is the Graduate Level Examination which is the entry level examination in to the Post Graduate Degree course of study in the reputed colleges and universities in India as this is the all India Level Examination one need to have concentrate more on this examination as there are lots of competition and this examination is one of the toughest examination and the candidates who had selected in this examination will be getting the Scholar ship amount every month till the end of the study as this is the All India Examination..........
    GATE Examination is conducted by the all the 8 IIT's which are present and these all IIT's combined and conducts the examinations for the selection of candidates..........
    There are particular eligibility criteria which are to be followed in order to appear for the GATE Examination..........

    Eligibility for GATE examination:
    *Bachelor Degree holders in the Engineering/Technology/Architecture........
    *Candidates who are in the finale year of your Bachelor degree are also eligible for the GATE Examination
    *Master Degree holders or who are in the finale year of such programs are also eligible for the GATE Examination........
    *Candidates who had appeared for the professional examinations such as the UPSC,etc.. are also eligible for the GATE Examination

    Hi Dear Friend,

    GATE is Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an all India competitive examination for Engineers from various backgrounds administered and conducted jointly by the IISc Bangalore and Seven IITs.

    Engineering has many trade e.g ECE,CSE,IT,EE, etc.
    Each trade has different gate exam syllabus.

    Pattern of Question Papers

    General Aptitude (GA) Section:

    In all papers, GA questions are of multiple choice type, and carry a total of 15 marks. The GA section includes 5 questions carrying 1 mark each (sub-total 5 marks) and 5 questions carrying 2-marks each (sub-total 10 marks)

    Question papers other than GG, XE and XL:

    These papers would contain 25 multiple choice questions carrying one mark each (sub-total 25 marks) and 30 multiple choice questions carrying two marks each (sub-total 60 marks). Out of these, two pairs of questions would be common data questions, and two pairs of questions would be linked-answer questions. In the ONLINE papers, the question paper will consist of questions of multiple choice type and numerical answer type. For multiple choice type questions, each question will have four choices for the answer. For numerical answer type questions, each question will have a number as the answer and choices will not be given.

    GG (Geology and Geophysics) Paper:

    Apart from the General Aptitude (GA) section, the question paper consists of two parts: Part A and Part B. Part A is common for all candidates. Part B contains two sections: Section 1 (Geology) and Section 2 (Geo-physics). Candidates will have to attempt questions in Part A and either Section 1 or Section 2 in Part B.

    Part A consists of 25 multiple choice questions carrying 1-mark each (sub-total 25 marks). Each section in Part B (Section 1 and Section 2) consists of 30 multiple choice questions carrying 2-marks each (sub-total 60 marks). Out of these, two pairs of questions would be common data questions, and two pairs of questions would be linked-answer questions.

    XE Paper (Engineering Sciences):

    In XE paper, Engineering Mathematics section (Section A) is compulsory. This section contains 11 multiple choice questions carrying a total of 15 marks: 7 questions carrying 1-mark each (sub-total 7 marks), and 4 questions carrying 2-marks each (sub-total 8 marks).

    Each of the other sections of the XE paper (Sections B through G) contains 22 questions carrying a total of 35 marks: 9 questions carrying 1-mark each (sub-total 9 marks) and 13 questions carrying 2-marks each (sub-total 26 marks). Out of the 2-mark questions, 2 pairs are common data questions and 1 pair is linked answer questions.

    XL Paper (Life Sciences):

    In XL paper, Chemistry section (Section H) is compulsory. This section contains 15 multiple choice questions carrying a total of 25 marks: 5 questions carrying 1 mark each (sub-total 5 marks) and 10 questions carrying 2-marks each (sub-total 20 marks). Out of the 2-mark questions, 1 pair is common data questions, and 1 pair is linked answer questions.

    Each of the other sections of the XL paper (Sections I through M) contains 20 multiple choice questions carrying a total of 30 marks: 10 questions carrying 1-mark each (sub-total 10 marks) and 10 questions carrying 2-marks each (sub-total 20 marks).

    GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.

    This is an all India level exam being jointly conducted by Indian Institute of Science and 7 IIMs (Indian Institute of Management).

    Eligibility criteria to appear for GATE Exam.

    You should be of bachelors degree holders in Engineering/Technology/Architectrue which must be a 4 years course after completion of 10+2.

    You who are pursuing final year of bachelors degree in Engineering/Technology/Architecture are also eligible to appear for this exam.

    You have Masters degree with any of the stream are eligible to appear for this exam.

    There is no age criteria for GATE Exam.

    One can appear for GATE Exam irrespective of age if he meet academic criteria.

    There will be no limit on number of attempts for GATE Exam.



    You can appear for GATE Exam as many times as you wanted.

    From this academic year, pre final year candidates of Engineering are not eligible to appear for GATE Exam.

    linear Algebra: Matrix algebra, Systems of linear equations, Eigen values and eigenvectors.

    Calculus: Functions of single variable, Limit, continuity and differentiability, Mean value theorems, Evaluation of definite and improper integrals, Partial derivatives, Total derivative, Maxima and minima, Gradient, Divergence and Curl, Vector identities, Directional derivatives, Line, Surface and Volume integrals, Stokes, Gauss and Green's theorems.

    Differential equations: First order equations (linear and nonlinear), Higher order linear differential equations with constant coefficients, Cauchy's and Euler's equations, Initial and boundary value problems, Laplace transforms, Solutions of one dimensional heat and wave equations and Laplace equation.

    Complex variables: Analytic functions, Cauchy's integral theorem, Taylor and Laurent series.

    Probability and Statistics: Definitions of probability and sampling theorems, Conditional probability, Mean, median, mode and standard deviation, Random variables, Poisson, Normal and Binomial distributions.

    Numerical Methods: Numerical solutions of linear and non-linear algebraic equations Integration by trapezoidal and Simpson's rule, single and multi-step methods for differential equations.

    GATE syllabus for each branch is different. If you want to do M.Tech, then you can do M.Tech only in that branch with which you have completed B.Tech.     Information about GATE Exam :

    GATE stands for graduate aptitude test in engineering and this is a common entrance exam for admission in M.Tech or other postgraduate courses and this is controlled under the indian institute of technologies and for this the IIT's are inviting the applications every year once.

    GATE 2013 Eligibility Criteria :

    Candidates complete bachelor's degree in Engineering
    There are no age limit for Exam , min of 18 years
    This exam score valid two years

    ENGINEERING MATHEMATICS

    Mathematical Logic: Propositional Logic; First Order Logic.

    Probability: Conditional Probability; Mean, Median, Mode and Standard Deviation; Random Variables; Distributions; uniform, normal, exponential, Poisson, Binomial.

    Set Theory & Algebra: Sets; Relations; Functions; Groups; Partial Orders; Lattice; Boolean Algebra.

    Combinatorics: Permutations; Combinations; Counting; Summation; generating functions; recurrence relations; asymptotics.

    Graph Theory: Connectivity; spanning trees; Cut vertices & edges; covering; matching; independent sets; Colouring; Planarity; Isomorphism.

    Linear Algebra: Algebra of matrices, determinants, systems of linear equations, Eigen values and Eigen vectors.

    Numerical Methods: LU decomposition for systems of linear equations; numerical solutions of non-linear algebraic equations by Secant, Bisection and Newton-Raphson Methods; Numerical integration by trapezoidal and Simpson’s rules.

    Digital Logic: Logic functions, Minimization, Design and synthesis of combinational and sequential circuits; Number representation and computer arithmetic (fixed and floating point).

    Computer Organization and Architecture: Machine instructions and addressing modes, ALU and data-path, CPU control design, Memory interface, I/O interface (Interrupt and DMA mode), Instruction pipelining, Cache and main memory, Secondary storage.

    Programming and Data Structures: Programming in C; Functions, Recursion, Parameter passing, Scope, Binding; Abstract data types, Arrays, Stacks, Queues, Linked Lists, Trees, Binary search trees, Binary heaps.

    Algorithms: Analysis, Asymptotic notation, Notions of space and time complexity, Worst and average case analysis; Design: Greedy approach, Dynamic programming, Divide-and-conquer; Tree and graph traversals, Connected components, Spanning trees, Shortest paths; Hashing, Sorting, Searching.
