Re: What are the subjects to be chosen to become an I.A.S.?

If you wish to join this stream you should be prepared for the UPSC exam. Basically graduation is a must for the same. Age can be anywhere between 21 to 30 years. There are mainly three stages you have to complete to reach your goal. The CSAT, The Main and Interview are the three steps for the ICS aspirant. In the exam you can select two papers as your elective. For a commerce background the possible options are Commerce, Accountancy and Management. But you are not allowed to choose any two from the above. You can choose one from the above and can select your interested subject in other field. You can get more details in the official site of UPSC.

Re: What are the subjects to be chosen to become an I.A.S.?

UPSC is conducting the I.A.S for finding out the right talents. The minimum qualification required for the I.A.S examination is a graduation from a reputed university or institute. The aspirants should attain a graduation with at least one of the subjects like Mathematics, Zoology, Animal husbandry, Geology, Forestry, Agriculture, Physics, Chemistry, Veterinary science, Statistics or Engineering. The applicants must have an age limit of 21 years to 30 years. There are age relaxations for SC/ST/OBC candidates. The selection is carried out by 3 stages. There will be a preliminary exam, main exam and an interview. After clearing the preliminary test, aspirants will be able to attend the main exam. Those who cleared the main exam can attend the interview. For more details, you can check the official website of UPSC.

For that exam the eligibility criteria is:- educational qualification is graduation in any stream from any recognized university and age limit for open candidates is 21 to 30years and 4attempts. For sc/st candidates, 21 to 35years and no limit to attend. For bc candidates, 21 to 33years and 7attempts. The exams contains civil service aptitude test(csat) and mains exam. Best of luck
