The minimum percentage required will depend on the institute. Normally it will be 50% to 70%. You have mentioned that you pursued science during the 12th standard. But you also need to have pursued Maths too as a subject. You may need to clear an entrance exam too. During the first year you will be given an introduction in the various areas. These will include Nanotechnology, Biomedicine, Bio Process Technology etc. You can select the area based on your interest. You also have the option to go in for specialisation by going for the Masters degree. The same is a must for growth in career.

I'm doing b.sc.biotechnology so my kind advice to take chemistry and zoology subject as other optional subjects because botany is not that much helpful wit biotechnology..

the subjects' choice differs from college to college. as per my bachelors, there were 4 major subjects:
1. Biotechnology, which was mandatory
2. Chemistry, which was mandatory
3. Botany / Zoology (optional)
4. foundation course- in which there are languages:
a.English
b.Hindi
c. the third subject changes every year
for 1st year it's entrepreneurship development
2nd yr-environmental studies
3rd yr-computers

mainly in b.sc biotechnology main sub is biotechnology only but with biotechnology naily other 2 sub are also important and that sub you can choose from their college list which are available in college and in biotechnology mainly micro,immuno,genetics,environmental,agriculture,in dustrial biotechnology involves

Biotechnology is one of new field which has got wide scope ,Infact Biotechnology includes many subjects in it..The main subjects which you are going to study i Bsc Biotechnology includes : Microbiology ,Biochemistry,Genetics ,Cell biology ,Immunology ,Nanotechnology,Industrial Biotechnology..Tissue engineering.Biotechnology has got a very good future but initially doing Bsc Biotechnology is not enough ,You should have minimum Msc Biotechnology.Then only try for jobs ,U will have many options.....

If you want to do Biotech then you can also select engineering course su you will get B.Tech degree
then there are more jobs available available for you .

You don't have to take any subjects as you will be already selecting Biotechnology in B.Sc.
Biotechnology is a subject that evolved from Biological sciences.
It is a study related to the use of living organisms and living processes in engineering, technology, medicine
and other medical fields.
You will study subjects like Biophysics, Mathematics, BioChemistry,Microbiology,Genetics, Immunology,
Plant biology, Bio informatics , Environmental sciences and some IT subjects like programming in C.

as a combination you can take chemistry, zoology, industrial fisheries, botony etc. according to me you can take zoology and chemistry as combination for B.sc Biotech.

IN B.S.C BIOTECHNOLOGY.....
in first year.............. you have chemistry, physics, biology, maths, statistics.........
in second year....... basic bio science, bio phy ,bio chem ,genetics..........
in third year.........you will have crop improvement ,trends in biotech (1,2) , env. biotechnology plant and animal tissue culture................

AND ALSO SOME OF THE SUBJECT vary from UNIVERSITY TO UNIVERSITY.............

Yeah, you have enough qualification to pursue, B.Sc Biotechnology. PCB is recommended for admission procedure, its not necessary to have maths as additional subject in high school examinations.

Since u had physics chemistry and biotechnology in ur XII u can go for B.Sc biotechnology.

Eventhough u dont have maths in XII,u can go for B.Sc biotechnology wher u can select subjects according to ur interest.but just learn the fundametals of maths as they are needed for every competitive exam.

BSc Biotechnology is a three-year degree,in first 2 years u will tackle core subjects to ensure that u have got a solid foundation,u will then specialise in the final year,making ur choice from wide range of options and research projects.
