    What are the subjects in B.Ed(History) Major?

    i am a under graduate with history major. i completed my course before 9 years.Now i joined b.ed course in regular class. i just want what are the subjects i will study in b.ed history major.

    History is an interesting subject and to pursue B.Ed with History is good also.the subjects for B.Ed(History) are following-

    UNIT I Nature And Development Of History
    1. Meaning and Definitions of history.
    2. Nature and Scope of history.
    3. Structure and form of history.
    4. The different conceptions of history – Biographical Evolutionary, Cyclic, Theistic
    and Modern Concept.
    5. History of history.
    UNIT II History - Its Features And Dimensions
    1. Dimensions of history - time, place, continuity and development.
    2. Classification of history
    3. Geographical foundations of history.
    4. Relationship between history and other social sciences.
    UNIT III Goals Of Teaching History
    1. General Aims and objectives of teaching history.
    2. Specific Aims of teaching history at Elementary, High and Higher Secondary stage.
    3. Values of teaching history - Practical, Intellectual Social, Moral, Disciplinary and
    cultural.
    UNIT IV Teaching Skills
    1. Teaching Skills - Microteaching - principles and skills. Introducing a lesson.
    Explaining, probing question, chalkboard work, Reinforcement, stimulus variation,
    closure. Need for a link lesson.
    2. Lesson Plan - Steps, Writing Instructional Objectives. Bloom's taxonomy -

    3. Measures of Central Tendency (Mean, Median Mode); Standard Deviation and
    quartile deviation; Rank Correlation and Co-efficient of correlation.
