What should be my typing speed in skill test to obtain a stenographer post? Will I get a stenographer post after clearing SSC Stenographer written exam with 106 marks but haven't performed well in skill test?

I have applied for stenographer grade d examination 2011 condcuted by staff selection commission on 16.10.2011 and have secured 106 marks in the written examination. Accordingly, I was called for the skill test in stenography which was held on 16.01.2012. But I am not quite satisfied with my performance as the speed at which the dictation was given was too fast, as compared to the dictation at the institute where I studied shorthand course. As a result, I was unable to transcribe much of the entire passage. Please let me know the exact ground of selection for the post of stenographer grade d (80 w.p.m.) Whether low performance in the skill test will disqualify me from securing a posting a stenographer or does the selecttion depend on the performance in the written testt only.
