As you have completed Engineering course, so you are eligible to join Merchant Navy directly.

Being a Graduate in engineering you can apply for junior engineer/fifth engineer in Merchant Navy.

But only engineering degree is not sufficient to join Merchant Navy.

In order to join Merchant navy you have pass through a pre-sea course.

The duration of pre-sea course is one year.
