What should I do to get job in public or private sector in order to cover my black mark i.e., I haven't completed my B.Tech ECE course on time due to some health issues? Will I have any opportunities in the job market?

    hai everybody,
i joined in B.Tech(ece) in the year 2006.I should have completed it by 2010.But due to bad health i was unable to complete it in the right time.I came to know that many companies in the private and public sector do not hire candidates who qualified B.Tech with backlogs. If it is so what should i do to avoid that negative impression ? what are the job opportunities that i would have?

Though you have not completed your B.Tech in Electronics and Communications engineering, you are still very much eligible to pursue a job in any private or public sector company.
You should not worry at all that you have not completed your engineering in time as there are many students all over the world that are not able to complete their studies in time , but then also
they have proved their worth and have reached top positions in reputed organisations.

You have mentioned that you have not completed your engineering studies in time due to some health issues. This is a common cause and even the people in the corporate world
understand this thing that health issues are serious and sometimes they can let a person down even in situations where the person need to work.

Yes, off course you have chances of getting a good job even if you had discontinued your studies due to health concerns. There are many key characteristics that need to be developed
as all the top corporates like to see those qualities in their employees. These qualities can be described as follows:
    1)Good communication capabilities
You must try to develop good communication capabilities as communication is very essential in any organisation.Lack of communication can prove as a major hurdle in any
organisation and thus efficient communication can prove as a very essential source in any organisation. You must try to fluent in English as many companies desire candidates
    that are fluent in English.

    2)Technical skills
Especially for engineering students, the companies have an expectation that students should have good technical skills.Technical skills can include knowledge of computer languages,
good knowledge of the subject matter of Physics, Chemistry and other subjects and several other skills.
So, you must try to develop more and more of technical skills as this would greatly help you while working in any reputed organisation and many companies select
candidates on the basis of the level of technical skills which they had in them.

    Dear friend,

yes you are right that companies will not give job to the backlogs. if you have some backlogs then you can clear it now, but big companies will not give you job.

one thing you can do for getting job in MNC's is the m.tech. you must have to go for the m.tech which is the post graduation degree after the b.tech.

you have to study hard and give the entrance exam for m.tech which is the GATE examination. the courses are the same which you have read in your b.tech. but you have to practice all the subject in this exam.

so if you get good marks and good rank then you will get IIT level college, this is also not sufficient, you have to do good study in the m.tech. after this no one will stop you. you can make your future your self. companies has always demand of good engineers.

so work hard and best of luck.

It's OK that you were not able to compleate your engineering course in time and have a few
backlogs. What matters is how many backlogs paper are still remaining for you to clear now.
Many a times students are not able to clear their engineering course in 4 years .But it is
now important that you clear your Backlogs in the next chance. Because problem starts when
you still cannot clear these backlogs the next year. So now for the time being forget about
job and focus only on the due papers. Don't take any chance now. Because if you even fail to
clear a single paper then your whole year will be wasted due to it.So don't worry you have a
valid reason because you were ill. Taking five years time to compleate the course will not
make too much of a difference. When in future if you will be asked about it you can say that
you were ill and thus were not able to compleate the course in time.
Also if you only have 1 or 2 papers left then you can prepare for them , while doing some
job in some small companies. This way your time will be utilised and you will gain some
experience also. But if you have more papers then concentrate solely on the papers. Job can be
done once you clear them. And don't worry about the job opportunities . Have confidence on
yourself. There are so many companies in our country. However you will not be able to apply
in some companies who want the candidates to have compleated their course in 4 years only.

Dear first of all I want to suggest you that first keep patience and do workhard to complete your backlogs. So first of all forget every thing and clear your all backlogs in B.Tech.
Than only you will be eligible to do good jobs in companies.
For this your communication skill should be nice. How easily you convey to others through your communication skill.
You should be confident towards your stream in B.tech.
Be frank and honest to yourself.
If due to your health you are not be able to complete your studies than doesnt matter .now you become well than do workhard as you can and try to opt your bachalor degree.
ALL THE BEST to your career & KEEP .
