    About Civil Services Examination :

    IPS Stands for Indian Police Service and to become IPS Officer you have to apply for the Civil services examination. This examination was conducted by UPSC Comission every year in two Phases, Preliminary examination and Main examination. You have to cracked the Preliminary examination First, This examination are also called CSAT, CSAT Stands for Civil services aptitude test and there are Two papers in this examination and Both the paper was Objective.

    But to apply for this examination, you have to complete your Graduate degree course because graduation is the Minimum Eligiblity To apply for Civil services examination, Final year Graduate candidates are also apply for UPSC Civil services examination.

    But for this examination your age should between 21 to 30 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

    So, If you have pursuing your Graduate degree course, then you are apply for this examination other wise you are not eligible to apply for Civil services examination.

    Eligible candidates may apply for this examination Online OR Offline.

    And the Application Procedure for the Civil Services Examination is pretty simple, Application Forms along with the Information Brochure can be obtained from the designated Head Post Offices throughout the country after declaring the Notification. After filling the Application Form with the acknowledgement card should be sent to the "Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, New Delhi - 110011.

    The Notification of this examination will be Published in the employment newspaper or in the UPSC website in the Month of February every year, after Declaring the Notification, the Online Registration process will be Started and you can fill the Online application form By visit the official website of UPSC.

    The Notification of Next year Examination will be Published on 04/Feb/2012 and the last date of apply for this examination was 05/March/2012 and the examination will be held on 20/May/2012.

    Number Of Attempts :

    Please prepare well and then apply for this examination because you will get some Limits to appear for this examination.

    For General Candidates : 4 Attempts
    For OBC Candidates : 7 Attempts
    For SC/ST Candidates : No Limits.

    IPS - Indian Police Service which is conducted by UPSC every year.
    It's one of the superior exams in India in which you can control the criminals and also use your status for dealing law and order properly.


    IPS SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:
    The examination has three stages i.e.,

    2)Main examination

    ELIGIBILITY

    You should have a degree from any University,
    You must be a citizen of India
    AGE LIMIT
