Re: What should I do after intermediate to become a CA?

In order to join for CA course, you should first appear for CPT exam after 12th class. This is the foundation test which can be attempted only after 12th class. CPT exam will test your knowledge in areas like accounting, quantitative aptitude, mercantile laws etc. If you qualify CPT, you can get in to next stage of CA course - IPCC. This level also involves an article ship training program for 3 years. Also you should undergo ITT training before attempting the final course in CA. Those who successfully clear this level will get selection for final CA course.

Thumbs up Re: What should I do after intermediate to become a CA?

    Hello Friend

To become a registered Chartered Accountant, under Chartered Accountants council of India you should follow the steps put forth by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

ICAI had made regular guide lines to follow by the young aspirants in India to become a CA person in future, for this you have to register for the CA course from basic start point.

Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is the starting level to get into CA course, you have to get register for the CPT at least 9 months before the commencement of exam which will be conducted in month June/December.

you should pass the 10+2 from the respective board for writing the CPT, so you can enroll for CPT when you are in final year of 10+2 and eligible for CPT exam only after qualifying the 10+2 exam.

you should qualify in both the CPT and 10+2 examination, so that you can enter into next round that is Integrated Proficiency Competence Course (IPCC) which will be a duration of 9 months.

While you are in IPCC you also complete 100 hours of Information Technology Training (ITT) which is compulsory to be CA person, along with the ITT you also has to complete Orientation course of 1 week spanning 35 hours.

After IPCC 9 months course appear for Group I or Group II exam conducted by the ICAI, Qualifying in which you can get into other step that is registered for Article Assistant for 3 years.

During Article Assistant training you can go for Management and Communication skills course for 15 days. Then register for final course and prepare for CA Final examination.

Passing the Final examination, you will be registering as a member of ICAI and designated as "Chartered Accountant".

If you had not complete GMCS course, you should complete before registering under ICAI, so friend these are the common steps to be a CA professional.

For any further information you can go through the site www.icai.org

To become a CA you need to get Qualified 3 stages .

CA Course has 3 stages they are :-

CPT Stands for Common Proficiency Test.

    hello
you have complete 12th class but you did not mention that in which stream you have done 12th class.
if you have done 12th class with commerce stream then this is better then other stream.
for do CA you have to first register yourself in ICAI institution for give the CPT entrance exam.
after that when you are appearing 12th class then you can give CPT entrance exam.
after passed 12th class you can give cpt exam.
in CPT exam you have to get 50% marks to clear that exam.
In CPT exam there is negative marking so give that answers on which you are confident.
After complete CPT you have to do registration for IPCC.
First register yourself in ICAI institution for CPT exam.
    good luck
