Re: What should I do after 10th in order to become an Aeronautical Engineer?

After completion of 10th you can go for 10+2.In that 10+2 you can opt for Biology with physics, chemistry and maths.
Or computer science with physics, maths and chemistry.

In present days computer science is more preferable than biology to become a aeronautical engineer.
First you have to complete your 12th and then go for B.E/B.Etch aeronautical engineering in a good college.

So after completion of 10+2 you can go for Aeronautical engineering.

    Good luck.....

    DEAT FRIEND.
AEROSPACE OR AERONAUTICS ENGINEERING IS A CHALLENGING AND SCOPING STREAM OF ENINEERING THAT COVERS THE ASPECTS OF DESIGNING, CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIRING OF ALONG WITH THE APPLICATIONS AND MAINTENENCE OF PHYSICAL STANDARDS AND PHYSICAL LAWS TO THE AIRCRAFT, SPACE CRAFT AND AEROPLANE, ETC....THIS FIELD DIFFERS FROM THE ASTRONAUTICS ENGINNERING IN THE WAY THAT THE LATER ONE DEALS WITH THE ASTROPHYSICS AND PARTICULARLY THE ASTRONAUTICAL SCIENCES AND MAINTENANCE OF SPACE CRAFTS.

THIS STREAM IS A VENTURE OF FLUID DYNAMICS, SOLID MACHENICS, ELECTROCHEMISTRY, AIRCRAFT DYNAMICS, TESTING,ETC...
SINCE IT IS A DISCIPLIN OF ENGG SO AFTER YOUR 10TH YOU NEED TO DECIDE YOUR STREAM AND SUBJECTS VERY PRECISELY.
FOR THIS STREAM YOU HAVE TO GET INTO THE SCINCE STREAM WITH PHYSICS, CHEMISRTY AND MATHS AS ONE OF THE MAIN SUBJECTS.
THEN YOU HAVE TO STUDY HARD IN 11TH AND 12TH WITH THESE SUBJECTS AND GET ATLEAST 60% IN THE 12TH TO BECOME ELIGIBLE FOR THE GRADUATION COURSE BSC. IN AEROSPACE ENGG AND ENTRANCE EXAMS FOR YOUR INTERESTD COURSE LIKE THE AIEEE, IITJEE, ETC..

THERE ARE A NUMBER OF COURSES IN SEROSPACE ENGG AT BACHELOR, MASTER AND PHD LEVEL.
THERE ARE A NUMBER OF INSTITUTES PROVIDING THIS COURSE MAINLY:
    IIT KANPUR
    AMRITA UNIVERSITY
INSTITUTE OF PETROL AND ENERGY ENGG, DEHRADUN

    GOOD LUCK

    hello
you need to be atleast completed with your 10+2 to apply for aeronautical engineering. so opt science stream in you 10th standard.
The basic eligibility criteria for a BE / B.Tech is 10+2 or equivalent examination, with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and must have a fairly high percentage of marks in the aggregate. One must also pass the qualifying exam JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) conducted by the IITís. Selection to the graduate courses ( BE / B.Tech ) is based on merit i.e the marks secured in the final exams of 10+2 and through entrance exams. Entrance to the IITís is through ĎJEEí (Joint Entrance Exam) and for other institutions through their own separate entrance exams and other state level and national level exams. Most of the institutes conducting engineering courses in Aeronautics consider JEE score as the qualifying grade.

Re: What should I do after 10th in order to become an Aeronautical Engineer?

after completing ur 10th you should switch on to science faculty with subjects like physics, chemistry and maths and biology or computer science or electronics. These are the 3 core and essential subjects required.

Side by side join a good institute and prepare for state engineering entrance test,IIT entrance test.AIEEE entrance test and along with that you can also give the private entrance exams conducted by some engineering colleges in India.

You should score gud ranks in any of these entrance test along with 60% marks in 12th and 60% in physics, chemistry and maths respectively because this is the essential eligibility criteria for engineering.

Aeronautical engineering is a very rare branch and there are very fw colleges for this so just look over the colleges and their previous cutoff list so that you'l get am idea of it.

    Best of luck
