Hi,
CA course can be done by students of any stream.
There is no restrictions for students of any stream.

But ideally if you have decided that you want to do CA you should do Commerce stream as it would make-
Concepts would be clear for you
You would easily be able to pass CPT exam
CA course would be easier for you

If you take science or arts all subjects of CA would be new to you & therefore it would be more difficult for you do CA.

You should register for the CA course after 10th class. CPT is the first level or the foundation exam in CA course. CPT can be registered after completing 10th class. You can attend the CPT after completing the 12th class. IPCC is the second level of CA course. This can be attended only after completion of the graduation course. The graduation can be done in any discipline. After getting qualified in IPCC you should undergo an article ship Training for 3 months. The final course of CA can be attempted only after completion of the training.

Following is the eligibility criteria:-
1. The candidate must have passed the 10+2 level from a recognized board.
2. The candidate who is a Commerce graduate should have 50% marks.
Non-commerce graduates without maths should have 55% marks.
Non-commerce graduates with Maths should have 60% marks.

The CA course has been divided into three stages.

1. Competency Professional Test (CPT)
2. Professional Competency Course (PCC)

well first you have to take commarce branch in 11th and 12th class and then go for B.com after that you can give the CACPT exam to become CA but you have to work hard because nowdays there is limited seats and many are candidate who wants to become CA so best of luck.

if you want to become a CA in Future you have to clear 10+2 in any stream then you have to give 3 exams. the exams which you have to qualify are:

2.IPCC
3.FINAL EXAM.

As you have completed 10th standard,then join in intermediate in M.E.C branch because that particular branch is related to the CA COURSE.

After the intermediate course,you need to write the CPT EXAM and if you get successful in that exam,then you can go for the CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT COURSE.

you can choose any stream to do CA but if you have choose commerce stream then you can benefit in further studies.
after 10th class you can choose commerce and after that for CA you have to register yourself in ICAI institute for give entrance exam of CA.
which is CPT.
after register yourself you have to compulsary to clear cpt exam after that you can take admission in IPCC.
ICAI take CPT exam twice in a year.
ICAI mostly this exam in month of June and December.
After take exam result will be declare with in one month or some more day after one month.
