For this post you need to first appear the entrance exam. This will basically be an aptitude oriented test. If you clear the same then you will be called for the interview round. There will be questions from your area of specialisation and also general questions. The general questions will basically be on why the bank should select you, why you would like to join the bank, your knowledge on the banking industry etc. You can appear for this exam only if you are fulfill all the criteria. The Selection Procedure in IBPS CWE-Clerk is as follow :-
1. You want to passed the Entrance Exam tht is conducted by IBPS for 19 Public Sector Bank. This is Common Exam for these Banks. The Syllabus for Clerk is :-

2. After Clear the IBPS Exam, IBPS Send you IBPS Score Card for Clerk at your address. This Score card is valid for 19 Public sector banks for Clerks and when banks published notice for this post you can apply for that post.

3. If you apply for this Post in these banks, banks conduct Interview test of these candidates. If you passed the Interview conducted by Banks then you would be choose as a Clerk Post in that Bank.

Selection procedure for IBPS clerks:

After Common Written Examination, the IBPS will be given a scorecard for qualifying candidates in CWE, Which will be valid for one year from the date of issue of the scorecards.

Interview and final selection are made by each bank individually. These banks shortlist candidates and carry out their own process. IBPS CWE recruitment process is approved by 19 Nationalized Banks in 2011.

The following 19banks will recruit you:

8.United bank of india

Clerks : You must have 10th, Inter or degree with good percent (at least 55%)
For general category : It's between 18 to 28 years.
Upto 33 years for SC/ST
Upto 31 years for BC
Upto 38 years for Physically Handicapped(PH) and
Upto 33 years for ex service men

Selection in the following way:

Step 1:CWE will be conducted first. CWE means Common Written Exam which will be in objective mode.
It consists of following topics
Reasoning
English Language
Numerical ability
General awareness
Computer awareness

Step 2:An Interview will be conducted by the banks.

If you got selected in both, you will get job. And they will send you the job call letter within few days to mentioned postal address.

Salary will be around 10k to 15k excluding the allowances..
