Veterinary field is interesting and an area that has a lot of scope. It is important that the candidates have a liking towards animals and birds. They have the option to go for either a Government service or to go for private. In the Government service they can join Hospitals, treatment centers, wild life sanctuaries etc. In the private sector they can join race courses, farms etc. They also have the option to start their own private practise. They also have the option to go into the research field. Specialist in this field are required in laboratories, drug manufacturing sectors, pharma sector etc. They are also required in Army for treatment of animals used by the armed forces near the border.

Veterinary Science is related to the overall care of animals of different species. There are large numbers of avenues which demand the services of veterinary doctors. The options available for veterinary doctors are Government hospital, Animal husbandry unit, farms, Race Clubs, corporate hospitals and treatment center. Veterinarians are also needed in Wildlife sanctuaries and zoological parks etc. There are few posts available even in Army and Border Security forces which provide treatment and care of animals in the regiments. Veterinarians can also look out an option for private practice if preferred. They can also look forward for teaching career. If they want to continue higher studies then candidates can also enter into research field and work with governments such as ICAR. Pharmaceutical companies also appoint Veterinarians in the research and development to create drugs for both humans and animals use. Candidates who are from the biology field can also work in the biomedical science field, biotechnology, bioinformatics, microbiology, horticulture and agriculture.

In ICAR exams you need OGPA 6.50/10.0CT for General, OBC categories
and 5.50/10.00 or equivalent for SC and ST candidates.

For admission in
the subjects of Veterinary Sciences, the candidates must have completed
B.V. Sc. and A.H. with Internship before the date of registration in the
University

Veterinary is not so good field it has to study a lot and at last you get low salary and although you are struggling you will get low result only people also dont refer ;they rarely refer veterinary .MBBS is a famous and rapid and a hard working job at start and at last you get a secure future if you are best then only MBBS has a lot of scope .and you get the respect that you deserve that you want

ya of course veterinary science has a very good scope
after completing the veterinary degree you can get the jobs in the various govt sectors like that of the poultry farms , animal husbandry , fish feeding , and many govt hospitals run for the animals
and apart from the MBBS you can go for doing the BDS (Bachelor of Dental Science)

SCOPE IS GOOD IN OUTER COUNTRIES ESPECIALLY THE SOUTH AMERICAS.NOT IN INDIA.

Although many people think of veterinary science and what veterinarians do only in terms of clinical practice, veterinarians also work in many

other fields.

Clinical veterinary services are of national importance in promoting the health, welfare and productivity of farm animals, including cattle, sheep,

goats deer, pigs and poultry.

Developing animal industries, such as the farming of llamas, alpacas, ostriches, emus and fish require veterinary services too.

So,I am listing the scope of veterinary science below:-

1.As a veterinary doctor,you can work in govt. hospitals,farms,race clubs,animal husbandary units,corporate hospitals and treatment centres.

2.You will be required as a vetererinarian in zoological parks and wildlife sanctuaries.

3.You can go for private practice.

4.You can build your career in teaching line.

5.You can enter into research field.

6.You can work in pharmaceutical companies,etc.

So,don't think that there is no scope in this field..

If you have interest and knowledge during study of Veterinary science,then Veterinary science having very nice scope.

In veterinary science you can choose to work with the government animal husbandry departments, poultry farms, dairy farms, sheep and rabbit farms, race clubs, stud farms, private and government veterinary hospitals and clinics.Wildlife sanctuaries and zoological parks as well as aviaries need veterinarians.
The Army and the Border Security Forces also employ veterinarians for the care and treatment of their mounted regiments which have horses, mules, camels and dogs. Private practice is another option they can consider.
Teaching is another option as experienced professionals are recruited in various institutions to train the new entrants to the field.
Besides regular practice,you can also take up research work, either on their own or in association with the government such as ICAR (Indian council for Agricultural Research).
