Re: What is the scope of ICWA?

ICWA qualification is suitable for manufacturing Industry, also name of ICWA will change to ICMA in next few months, then recognation of ICWA will enhance internationally, So for future prospects ICWA is better,
Compairing ICWA with CA or CS is totally wrong, all three profession have different scop of work
CA's are basically required for Income tax ,external reporting and Maintenance of financial records.
CS are required for complaince of commercial Laws, Corporate Social responsibility,
ICWA is required by companies for MIS, Costing, Budgetary control, Price fixation, Transfer Pricing, Maintenace of cost records, Excise and Vat etc.
You can chose your own cource based on your interest.

Re: What is the scope of ICWA?

There is a bright scope for ICWA course in India. But as far as job opportunities are concerned there are less number
of job opportunities for cost and work accountants as compared to chartered accountant.
Actually ICWA is an organisation that conducts an examination for the purpose of selecting candidates who are
suitable to be cost accountants as it is a really tough job.And if you want to achieve success in this field, you need to
be really hard working and sincere towards your studies.
The duties that you would be required to perform include- preparing the cost records of the company and ensuring that
they are prepared in a transparent and lucid manner, so that it does not obstructs the working of the organisation.

We know some ICWA earns more than CAs, just because they are masters at what they do, and hence top companies hire them for huge salaries......while many CAs have a unsuccessful career and struggle.hence, it all depends on your interest and passion to work.......if you are basic accounting and wish to delve deep into it, CA is your best choice, while if you like costing and its principles, then ICWA is the best

    best of luck.......
