The job opportunities are immense after the completion of chemical engineering. You can apply for jobs in various government organizations such as NTPC, ICL, HPCL etc. You can also attend the GATE exam as several government organizations take the candidates on the basis of their score in the GATE examinations. The opportunities also exist in IOCL, ONGC, L&T etc. There are always opportunities in the mining industry also. Another option would be to go in for the M.Tech course which will enhance your job opportunities in the various government sectors also. The job opportunities also exist in private petro chemical companies, fertilizer plants, mineral and plastic manufacturing companies, polymer etc.

    hello
The work of Chemical Engineers, the most versatile of all engineers, involve the invention, development, design, operation and management of processes in industries. So they combine the work of several fields such as those of chemists, industrial engineers, materials engineers as well as electrical engineers.
The scope for chemical engineers is tend to grow in future due to industrial expansion and the related scarcity of resources needed. They may be demand as they work to create synthetic replacements for those natural materials and resources that are in short supply. Overall chemical engineers could make very important contributions for the improvement and maintenance of the quality of life.
