Scope totally depends on the university or college you are placed in.If you are studying in good college then definitely you can expect campus placements.Now a days only IT companies are coming but not electrical companies.

Make sure your college can bring electrical companies even.The major advantage of electrical stream is that you can get into electrical field as well as IT field.But the major criteria needed is you should have 60% aggregate and also with out any backlogs.Some companies even demand much aggregate 70%.So,study well .

gas, steel , rubber , fertilisers, chemicals etc are automising the
processes. So instrumentation engineers are required for the design,
,planning,implementation, supervision and maintainence of these systems.
Also many MNC's that make process control equipments like transducers,
pneumatics , control valves , actuators etc. like SMC etc are looking for
sales engineers for marketing these products. You can also apply in these
