This branch is one of the core engineering branches which have a never ending scope in any developing country. You can enter into any IT company with a good salary package. There are telecommunication companies like airtel, alcatel etc. So, this is one of the best branch to study in engineering.

First you should keep in mind that Electrical engineering and electrical and electronics engineering is different. Lot of public sector unit are available for electrical engineering student inclluding IOCL , NTPC, GAIL , ISRO , DRDO , BEL etc.
