The candidates who are applying for IAS/IPS should hold a bachelors degree and write the Civil Services Exam conducted by UPSC. Only graduates from recognized institutes will be eligible to write the exam. The minimum age specified to apply for this exam is 21 years. The age limit specified for attempting Civil service exams is 30 years. The reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC etc are given 5 years and 3 years age relaxations respectively. Those who qualify in IAS exam will be called for personal interview. On the other hand, IPS involves a Physical test and Personal interview after qualifying in written exam. The exact date of both the exams will be published in the official website of UPSC.
