    Civil Service exam is single platform for all service post like
    >>Indian Administrative Service

    To eligible for this service post,then you should appear for civil service exam.
    Civil service exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission every year once,to take qualified students into different service post as mentioned above.

    To appear for Civil Service exam,then you should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.And your age should be between 21 to 30 years.

    Civil Service exam consist of Preliminary Exam and Main exam.
    Preliminary exam notification will release in the month of February every year.And exam will take place on May every year.
    Main exam will held on September every year.

    Note:You will eligible for Main exam,until you clear the preliminary exam.

    To be eligible to apply for IAS entrance exam the candidates should have following requirements:-

    »Candidate must have a citizenship
    of India.
    »Age limits:
    Candidate must have a age limit
    of 21-30 years for the general
    category.
    Candidate must have a age limit
    of 21-35 years for the SC/ST
    category.
    Candidate must have a age limit
    of 21-33 years for the OBC
    category.
    »Education Qualification:
    Candidate must have a degree

    yes you can appear in the exam after completing your degree some main eligibility criterion i have mention just go through this-

    Eligibility criteria for IAS::

    You must be nationality of citizen of India.
    Age limitation for for IAS:

    You must have 21 years minimum and not be over 30 years of age.

    upper age limit is relaxed in specific cases as mentioned below
    :
    upto a maximum of 5 years to SC/ST.
    upto a maximum of 3 years for OBC

    in case of education qualification you must complete your Graduation Degree.

    Number of attempts::

    General candidates: four attempts.

    SC / ST classes: seven attempts.
    Fee::
    Rs. 100/-
    (No fee for SCs/STs/Physically disabled)

    Hi dude,

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Service.

    But you need to complete your Graduation to appear for IAS exam.

    This is include in the services which come under civil services.

    Civil service exams are conducted by UPSC.

    This exam is conducted every year to recruite IAS,IPS,IFS officers.

    The exam is conducted in 2 stages:-

    1) Preliminary and

    2) Mains.

    To appear for this exam`s you need to be a graduate from reconized university.

    General candidates have 4 attempts.

    OBC candidates have 7 attempts.

    SC/ST candidates hae no limit.

    Notifications will be releaseint he month of Feburary.

    Last date of applying is 5th of march 2012.

    Hi,

    IAS Stands for Indian Administrative service and the exam is conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission).The Notifications about the exam are published in the employment newspapers or it is updated in the UPSC official website.

    The basic requirements to appear for the exams are:

    • You need to Complete your Graduation from a recognized University with any discipline.
    • Your age Limit must be between 21 years to 30 years of age.
    • Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.
    • Final year students who have appeared for the qualifying exams are also eligible to appear for the exam.


    • General Category Candidates can attempt 4 times.
    • OBC candidates can attempt 7 times.
    • SC/ST candidates have no limits.


    To become an IAS officer you need to appear for the exam which is divided into:

    Preliminary Exam
    Main Examination


    If you get cleared in the prelims you are eligible to appear for the Main exam. The Main exam comprises of 9 papers and you can choose the subjects based on the discipline in your graduation.

    ELIGIBILTY: you should have a degree from recognised university with good PERCENTAGE/CGPA....
    your age should be 21-30...for OBC 3 years .... and for SC/ST 5 years....
    you should be an INDIAN
    number of attempts..for GENERAL-4...for OBC-7...for SC/ST- no limit....

    Eligibility Criteria For IAS

    (i) Age limits :

    21-30 years as on 1.7.2012. (Upper age limit relaxable for SCs/STs, OBCs and certain other categories as specified in Para 3(ii) of Notice).

    (ii) Educational Qualifications :

    Bachelor’s degree of a recognized university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification (Para 3(iii) of Notice).

    Indian Administrative Services:
    Indian Administrative services are considered as one of the most and much demand compared to all the other civil services.The first public service examination was first conducted in the year 1926 October 1st.This is one of the most prestigious examinations conducted by the Union Public Service Commission UPSC.This is the governing board which is going to conduct all the civil services and all other group examinations of the Public sector.
    UPSC selects the candidates based up on the qualifications and the knowledge they have by conducting the examination of written and also the interview for the selection of candidates.....

    There is also required eligibility criteria and the required qualifications which are necessary for appearing to the examination and also to get select in these examinations.

    IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services and organized by UPSC every year.

    Attempts :
    If you belong to the “Open Category” you can give the exam 4 times maximum!
    If you belong to the “OBC” you can give the exam 7 times.
    If you belong to the “SC/ST” you can give the exam as many times as you want. There is no restriction on the number of times

    About the eligibility criteria:

    Educational qualifications :
    You must have a graduation from any background. Being a B.Com student you can certainly

    write the IPS exams.

    Age limits:
    Your age should be in between 21 to 30 years.

    Upper age limits :

    For SC/ST : 21 to 35 Years

    you have to complete your degree from any recognised university incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in india or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament or it may be declared as deemed university under the act of ugc act 1956.
    you must have 21 years of age and your age must not be above 30 years on august 1 of the year of examination.
    age relaxation
    • you have 5 years of age relaxation if you are belong to the SC/ST,
    • you have 3 years of age relaxation if you are belong to the other backward classes,

    there are quite a few eligibility criteria for writing IAS exams which are here under :

    you must be a citizen of India .
