Re: What are the required qualifications to write bank common examination? Am I eligible for this after scoring 50% marks in 12th?

After completing 12th a candidate can apply for the clerical level post in banks. But for that a minimum of 55% in 12th is a must. There is relaxation in this criteria if the candidate belongs to SC, ST, OBC, physically handicapped category. So you will eligible only if you belong to any of these categories. Also your age should not be more than 28 years at the time of applying. If you are not able to satisfy these criteria then you will be eligible only if you complete graduation. Any candidate who clears this course will be eligible to apply.

Bank Common Exam is nothing but the CWE exam conducted by IBPS.

You want to do a bank job after your +2, hence you fit into the clerical exam set rather than the PO exam set.

YES, YOU ARE ELIGIBLE, as per the following eligibility criteria:
    > Age limit: 18 28 yrs for the general category candidates.
Some relaxation is offered to the minorities( 3yrs-OBCs, 5yrs- SC/STs)

    > Secured 60% marks in 10th OR 50% marks in 12th OR Pass in degree (any discipline) from a recognized university.

As you have secured %0% of marks in your HSC, you fulfill the eligibility by a thin line.

Re: What are the required qualifications to write bank common examination? Am I eligible for this after scoring 50% marks in 12th?

    Hi ,
No ,you are not eligible for the exam.Because minimum marks in 12Th for apply for the clerical post is 60%.
Any candidate who has completed 12th standard can apply for the clerical post. Most of the banks insist for a minimum of 60% in the same.
There will be relaxation for the candidates belonging to ST/SC/OBC category. The same will may vary. Normally it is within the range of 5 to 10%.
You will not be eligible to apply if you donot belong to any of these categories.
If you are not eligible and still desire to work in the banking sector, you could perhaps complete your graduation. Try to secure a good score in the same and then try for the Probationary Officer post.

    State bank of india

    Allahabad bank

    Hey friend,

The Bank common examination would include such as that the candidate can write the:
    • Bank PO exam
    • Bank Clerk

As regarding your qualification you could only apply for the Bank Clerk exam because on the reason that you cannot apply for the Bank PO exam as you need to have completed graduation. The Bank Clerk exam is conducted for the post of clerk in the respected bank in which you are applying for.

The eligibility criteria's which you need to satisfy for writing this exam may include such as that:

    >> You need to be a citizen of India

    >> The age limit for the exam is that the candidate need to have 18-28 years

    >> Education qualification for writing the Bank clerk exam is that the candidate need to have completed +2 from a recognized school board of education with at least 50% aggregate.

If you satisfy the above criteria's then you can apply for the Bank Clerk exam.As you have 50% aggregate in your +2,it seems that you are eligible for the exam but you need to be aware that the eligibility criteria for the exam changes from bank-bank

For more information you can check at the official site of the Bank in which you are applying for.

You have mentioned that you have completed higher secondary examination and you want to appear for bank examinations.
But you are not eligible to even appear for a lower post in any bank as the minimum qualification required in order to appear for any bank
examination is to have a graduation degree.

you have mentioned that you have scored 50% in higher secondary, but the respected authority has specified no such particular percentage which should be obtained by a candidate in order to appear for banking examinations. So, even if you have passed higher secondary with 50% aggregate then also you are eligible to appear for banking exams after completing your graduation from any discipline.
