    IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .

    Those candidate have completed graduation in any discipline from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.

    But your age should be in between 21-30years for general candidate.
    In IPS exam their is provide age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

    The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.
    Also you must be citizen of India.

    IPS is high Rank Officer in Police Department. IPS Exam is Conduct by UPSC(Union Public Service Commission).

    For Appearing in IPS Exam you have to Clear your Graduation Degree in any Stream from Recognized University.

    Graduation is the required qualification to apply for IPS post. Candidates can do graduation in any subject as per their choice. It is essential to appear for Civil Services exam conducted by UPSC to get in to this post. 21 years is the minimum age limit to apply for the same. You need to clear the exam before you complete 30 years or four attempts whichever is earlier. One can apply for this exam by logging in to official site of UPSC. First of all clear preliminary exam. Main exam can be attended after that. On clearing both the levels, physical test and written exam can be attended.

    What are the required qualifications to become an IPS officer?
    To become a IPS officer you need to Register for Civil Service exam .

    Civil Service exam is Conducted by UPSC every Year.

    Civil Service exam includes IAS,IFS services also.

    To apply for Civil Service exam you need to have completed your Graduation from Recognized University !

    You need to Be a Citizen of INDIA.

    Your Age need to be between 21-33 years.

    If your from Reservation Category then you have Age relaxation.
    • For SC/ST :- 5 years of Relaxation.
    • For OBC :- 3 years of Relaxation.

    Attempt`s Limit`s :-
    • General candidates have 4 attempts.
    • OBC candidates have 7 attempts.
    • SC/ST candidates hae no limit.

    The exam has 2 stages they are :-

    IPS officer Is well known and very high post job.Basically for this you have to attain a entrance examination.This examination is known as civil service examination.This examination is conducted by the UPSC every year.This examination is completed in the Following three stages:
    • Preliminary
    • Mains
    • Interview
    After successfully clearing all these stages you can be come complete the CS examination.To be eligible for this examination you must be graduate in any stream from a recognized university.For this examination your age must be lie in between 21 years to 30 years.You will get the age relaxation by 3 years if you belong form the OBC category.Or If you belong from the SC/ST/PH category then you will get the relaxation by 5 years.

    For becoming IPS officier you need to qualify UPSC exam and the diffrent rounds of exams like preliminary,mains and interview and then it depends on the marks you obtained. only top scorers in UPSC gets IPS officier posts. Gud Luck.

    IPS: Indian Police Services.

    The selection in the IPS is done through Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC once every year.

    The educational qualification required to become eligible for the Civil Services Examination of UPSC,
    is Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.

    The age limit to apply for the exam is
    21-30 years (for GEN category candidates)
    21-33 years (for OBC category candidates)
    21-35 years (for SC/ST/PH category candidates)

    The notification of the exam is published in leading national and regional dailies.

    No percentage required for this exam.

    Final year pursuing candidates are eligible.

    The age limit should be between 21 to 30 years.

    Upper relaxation for other categories.

    3 years for obc

    5 years for sc/st.

    10 years for PH.

    I.P.S --- INDIAN POLICE SERVICES


    Generally this IPS exam is conducted by the UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION


    And for this you must have MINIMUM OF GRADUATION

    Graduation may be of any stream

    It must be from a recognized university

    The minimum age must be 21 years

    Maximum age is allowed up to 30 years

    There will be an Age relaxation for the Reserved candidates

    If you are reserved candidate then you can avail this Age relaxation opportunity

    IPS stands for Indian Police service . IPS exams come under civil services examination and is conducted by Union Public -

    -Service Commission once in a year .

    Required qualifications for civil services examination are here under :-
