    To become a food inspector, one should be a graduate from a recognized university in science subjects. Those who have done graduation in any of the subjects such as Agriculture/Diary Technology/Pharmacy/Food Technology etc are eligible for this post. It is mandatory to study Chemistry as a subject in graduation level to apply for this post. One should also attend training in food inspection to become a food inspector. Selection to this post will be through a written examination conducted by UPSC. Those who clear written exam will need to clear the personal interview round too for selection. For appearing the all India level exam you need to have three years of relevant experience too.

    You must have chemistry in your graduation.
    You must take training in food inspection to become food Inspector.
    To become food inspector UPSC conducted a exam,you must pass this and then you have to give interview.

    Union Public Service Commission conducts All India Food Inspector exam for the recruitment of Food Inspectors in various offices within the country.

    Food inspector examination is conducted by UPSC as well state Public service commission.

    The main function of food inspector is to Examine the food quality and quantity in various industries/hotels/organization and etc


    You must be a graduate in Medicine.

    Or
    Candidate should have graduate in Science with Chemistry as one of the subject
    or
    A graduate in Agriculture/ Public Health / Pharmacy / Veterinary /Science Food Technology / Dairy Technology.

    Candidates age must lie between 21 years to 35 year.

    The syllabus for food inspector have many section.Some are come from following syllabus as per my knowledge

    ::Eligibility::


    Qualification:
    You should have a degree in Medicine, and received minimum 1 Month’s training in Food Inspection from the Central Government or the State Government .

    Age:
    The maximum age can be 40 years.

    Selection:
    You will be selected through Written Test followed by Personal Interview and according to the rule and regulation of the Govt of India.



    :: Procedure to become food inspector ::

    1.get undergraduate degree in food safety or a related field such as agriculture, biology or chemistry.

    2.join certification classes offered by your local bureau of food and meat inspection.

    3.Apply for USDA Inspection Training Program. application form can can download from
    the United Fresh Produce Association website.

    4.Apply to companies and agencies seeking food inspectors.

    The following are the details for the post of food inspector :
    ELIGIBILITY :
    • You should have passed in your graduation.
    • You should have done your graduation under agriculture/pharmacy/food technology/any other science branches.
    • Graduates in medicine who have training under food technology can also attend the entrance exam.
    AGE :
    • 21 to 30 years for general candidates.
    • 21 to 33 years for OBC candidates.
    • 21 to 35 years for SC/ST candidates.
    The above are the required qualifications for the post of food inspector.

    Eligibility :

    You should be an Indian

    You must have 21years as your min.age to apply for this exam

    You must be graduate in food safety fields

    If you have taken biology,chemistry or ariculture also eligible

    You should write the entrance exams like ;
    UPSC exam
    All India Food Inspector exam etc to get selected.

    Food inspector is responsible for giving inspections every time. Mainly he is responsible for Food processing and hazards etc.

    You can get around 15k per month as a starting pay.

    Food Inspector Exam Paper Pattern:

    The test pattern comprises of questions on technical side, which includes science subjects. It also consists of numerical ability and GK questions.

    There will also be an English language test.

    The duration of the exam will be 150 minutes.

    You need to be very careful in attending the unknown questions, as there is negative marking for incorrect answers.

    UPSC conductes Food Inspector Exam every year for Recruitment of Food Inspectors in Various offices with in the Country.

    Eligibility Criteria for Food Inspector Exam :-
    • You should have Completed Graduates in medicine who have training in Food inspection are eligibile to appear for Food Inspector Exam.
    • You need to have completed Bachelor Degree in any of the Science Subjects.
    • Graduates in Agriculture / Pharmacy / Food Technology / Dairy Technology are also eligible to apply for the Exam.

    U have to done a training on food inspection.

    • You should be Indian citizen.
    • You should have a Bachelor degree in Pharmacy(B.Pharm) or Pharmaceutical Sciences of Medicine in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a recognized University or its equivalent
    • You should have minimum eighteen months’ experience in manufacture.
    • you age should be between 21yr-30yr for general candidates.
    • You can get the Age relaxation by 3yr for OBC Students and 5yr relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

    UPSC coducts a exam for peoples who want to become food inspector,and for become food inspector candidate must pass out from this exam.
    Food Inspector position require following things:
    The candidate must have graduate in one of the following subjects:
    Agriculture
    Pharamacy
    Food Technology
    Dairy Technology
    Chemistry

    Final year student can also appear in the exam.
    The age must be with in 21 to 30 for general category,3 years relaxation is provided for OBC and 5 year relaxation is provided for SC/ST.
    The Candidate must take training in food inspection.

    The candidate must be a citizen of india.

    To become Food Inspector you must have to complete your graduation from a recognized university in following stream:

    bachelor degree in health science

    bachelor degree in medicine

    bachelor degree in science and food technology.

    Or you have degree in Pharmacy/
    dairy technology / Food technology / agriculture.

    The food Inspector examination is conducted by UPSC ( Union Public Service commission) or State public service commission.

    All India Food Inspector Examination is conducted by UPSC through out the INDIA.

    The Food Inspector examine the safe food and medicine for human consumptions.
    They check the quality and quantity of food used in various Hotels ,organizations and industries.
