• Candidate should have completed degree course from any recognized university or equivalent.
• Students of final year who have appeared for final year examination are also eligible.
• Students age should be between 20 years to 30 years.

SC/ST students are given Relaxation of five years where as PH students 10 years and Ex-service personals of 5 years .

Eligibility Criteria for this examination :-

The candidate should have a minimum 18 years and maximum 28 years as on 1st august 11 and relaxation of upper limit is given to the various reserved categories.

Five years relaxation is given to the SC/ST category and Three year relaxation is given to the OBC category.

Indian Banking personnal selection(IBPS) exam is conducted by the Indian Bank Association(IBA) for the post of SWO, PO, clerks, management trainees and the technical executives in the 19 participating Indian Banks. this exam is meant to reduce the time taking procedure and the stress that the candidates have to face to get recruited in the Indian banks earlier.

To be eligible for this exam you have tol be a 21 year old candidate atleast and should not be more than 30 years of age. There is a relaxation of 3 to 5 years for the schedule caste and tribe candidates.
Also the educational qualifications require you to be a bachelor degree holder in any discipline. There is no minimum percentage criteria as such.

The exam consist of 2 parts:
1. Subjective exam: on the general awareness, reasoning, quantitative aptitude and the computer knowledge.
2. Descriptive exam: on the essay writing, letter, composition, english proficiency, etc..

After qualifying the exam you will be provided with the score cards based on that marks you can apply and attend the interview in any of the 20 nationalised and participating banks.
Let me tell you that the score cards are only valid for a period of 1 year. In this one year only you can apply in any of the bank any time. After one year you have to appear in the exam again and then the next score card issued to you will be the holding value one.
