>>An un-operated hernia can make you unfit for selection. If operated, this should have been done at least six months prior to the present examination and healing should be complete without any potential for recurrence.

>>There should be no hydrocele, varicocele or piles. If operated for hydrocele and/or varicocele, this should have been done at least six months prior to the present examination and healing should be complete without any recurrence.

>>Urine examination will be done and any abnormality, if detected, can be a cause for rejection.

>>Any disease of the skin, which is likely to cause disability or disfigurement, will also be a cause for rejection.

Height should be at least 157.5 cms & 162.5cms for Air Force wing.

Chest should be fully expanded. The fully expanded chest should not be less than 81cms.

There should not be any disease of bones or joints of the body.

Your vision in one eye must be perfect - 6/6 eyesight. In the other eye, you could have an imperfection of 6/9, which must be correctable to 6/6.

Physical requirements for NDA :

Height : You should be 165cm. In the case of candidates coming under SC/ST/OBC the height required is 160cm

Chest :- Minimum requirement in the case of male is 84cm and they should be able to expand the chest for 5cm.

Eye sight :- 6/12 or 6/9 distant vision for worse eye and 6/6 or 6/9 distant vision for good eye. Near vision for worse eye is J2 and for good eye is J1.



Educational Eligibility :

• To apply for Army Wings, you have to complete your 12th in any discipline form a recognised Board.

You must be physically fit according to the standards that are given by NDA:

• There Should not be any Bone diseases and joints of the body.
  
• You must be free from any past history of mental breakdowns or fits.
  
• Your sense of hearing must be normal without any evidence of Disease in ear or nose or eyes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Physical Standards :

You must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination

You should rectify minor defects/ailments in order to speed up finalisation of medical examination conducted at the Military Hospital after being recommended at the Services Selection Board(SSB).

The undermentioned ailments are considered, common minor ailments :

  • A candidate should not be suffering from severe pyorrhoea.

Ear, Nose and Throat Conditions

• The hearing should be normal.
• You should be able to hear a forced whisper with each ear at a distance of 610 cms in a quite room.
• There should be no evidence of present or past disease of the ear, nose and throat.
• Audiometric test will be done for AF. Audiometric loss should not exceed+20 db in frequencies between 250Hz and 4000 Hz.

• Thorough Clinical examination of the spine including its shape, local tenderness if any, spinal movements etc. is to be carried out. For candidates for aircrew duties only, X-ray of lumbosacral cervical spine (AP and Lateral views); is to be carried out.
• Mild Kyphosis or Lordosis where deformity is barely noticeable and there is no pain or restriction of movement will not preclude acceptance.
• In case of noticeable Scoliosis or suspicion of any other abnormality or spinal deformity, more than mild, appropriate X-rays of the spine are to be taken and the Examinee referred for specialist’s advice.
• The following conditions detected on X-ray examination will be disqualifying for entry to Armed Forces.

NDA stands for National Defense Service.This exam is conducted every year twice to take qualified students into different defense service like
>>Indian Air Force wings
>>Indian Navy wings
>>Indian Army wings

Eligibility criteria for NDA exam:
Education qualification:
For Indian Air Force/Indian Navy wings:You should have complete 12th class with PCM stream from a recognized university.
For Indian Army wings:You should have complete 12th class with any stream from a recognized university.
Age limit:
And your age should be between 16 1/2 to 19 years.
Physical fitness:
Height:Minimum 157cms, Maximum 183 cms
Chest:chest expansion should be more than 80cms
Eye sight: with glass should be 6/6,without glass should be 6/9

If you fulfill with this criteria,then you can appear for this year NDA exam.
NDA-I exam notification was release on 31st Dec 2011 and closed on 30th Jan 2012.if you have applied for this exam,then you can appear for exam on 15th April 2012.Otherwise you can appear for NDA-II exam.
NDA-II exam notification will release on 5th May 2012,closes on 4th June 2012.And exam will held on 19th August 2012.

NDA stands for NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY and this academy trains cadets for the DEFENCE FORCES Oof our country, So a guy should be physically fit in order to be in NDA.

He should be Medically fit and qualify the below medical qualifications.

PHYSICAL STANDARDS FOR NDA EXAM IS:





GOOD LUCK.

Many candidates are rejected during the medical examination.
Therefore, you must fulfill the physical standards :
~ you should not be overweight or underweight
~ your chest size should not be less than 81 cm
~ your height should not be less than 157.5 cm
~ you should have proper eyesight.

To get eligible for NDA generally,
¤ you must be an Indian,
¤ your age must be in between 16.5 years to 19 years,
¤ you must have completed 10+2 from a recognised institute,
¤ you must be unmarried.
You can apply for NDA in two ways:
1. Online - you can apply online by visiting the site- upsconline.nic.in.
2. Offline - you can fill the form offline by filling the forms available in selected post offices throughout the country. As soon as the application forms are recieved and processed, the candidates will be sent their admit cards.
Age Criteria:
your age must be in between 16 & 1/2 to 19 years.

¤ your chest size should not be less than 81 cms
