    IBPS - Institute of Banking Personnel Selection

    IBPS conducts the exams for clerks every year through CWE (Common Written Exam) which normally recruits 25000 jobs every year all over India.

    Eligibility for clerks :

    You must have min.60% in tenth OR

    min.60% in your Inter OR pass in degree from any recognized University of India.

    Your age should be between 18-28 years
    - For SC/ST it is 5 years relaxation
    - For BC relaxation set as 3 years.
    - For the PH candidates 10 years and ex-service-men 5years.

    Written Test Pattern:

    CWE(Common Written Exam)will be of Objective type and Objective questions consists a total of 250 marks and should be written in 150 Mins.

    The various components of written exam are as follows:

    - Reasoning carries 50questions for 50marks
    - English Language carries 50questions for 25marks
    - Numerical Ability carries 50questions for 50marks
    - General Awareness related to Banking Industry carries 50questions 50marks
    - Computer Knowledge carries 50question 50marks
    # Application Fee is Rs.50/- for SC/ST and for others it is 350/-
    # And this payment can be done in Offline or Online.

    Each question carries one mark and there is negative (1/4) marking too. After examination and publishing results, IBPS will provide all applicants with a CWE score card. This score is valid throughout the year for all clerical job notifications from supported banks.

    After Common Written Examination, the IBPS will be given a scorecard for qualifying candidates in CWE, Which will be valid for one year from the date of issue of the scorecards.

    Validity of CWE Score Card:
    Score Cards issued by IBPS will be valid for one year from the date of issue of the Score
    Card.

    Cut-Off marks :

    The cut-off points will be decided based on the average
    Average Standard Deviation for General category
    Average Standard Deviation for Reserved Category(BC,SC/ST)

    The candidate should possess certain eligibility requirements to apply for IBPS clerical grade examination. Matriculation with 60% marks is the minimum qualification required to apply for the exam. The candidates who have completed examination of 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent are also eligible. Those who have passed HSC (with 50% marks) or graduation are also eligible. The educational qualifications must be obtained from a recognized Board or University. The age of the candidate must fall with in 18-28 years. Category based relaxation is offered for deserved candidates.

    Hello my dear friend,


    IBPS stands for Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.It is conducting common written exam for 19 government sector banks.If you qualified in this test then you are eligible to apply for all the 19 government sector banks.You can attend the interview directly if you are qualified in this entrance exam.

    To appear for this entrance exam,then you must satisfy following eligibility criteria;

    >>You should be having at least 55% of marks in your 10+2 from recognized Board or minimum qualification of graduation is enough.

    If you satisfy above eligibility criteria then you can apply for Common written exam for Clerical cadre positions.

    Already in This December one session exam has completed,You have to wait for another entrance exam announced by IBPS.Every year this institute is conducting two times common written exam for both clerical cadre and Po position.You can apply for the test as your wish.

    IBPS stands for Institute of Bank Personal Selection.This IBPS exam is common entrance for almost all the Bank in India.
    If you qualify in this exam,you can apply for any bank in India.The bank will be recruiting according to IBPS score.

    Finally we can say that IBPS exam is single platform for all the Bank exam like
    >>Bank Clerk exam
    >>Bank P0 exam

    Eligibility criteria for IBPS Clerk Cadre post:
    Education qualification:
    >>You should have complete 12th class with any stream from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks
    or
    >>You should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university with minimum 55% marks.
    Age limit:
    >>Your age should be between 18 to 28 years,if you belong to General category.
    >>Your age should be between 18 to 31 years,if you belong to OBC category.
    >>Your age should be between 18 to 33 years,if you belong to SC/ST/PD category.

    IBPS is conducting CWE for 19 Public Sector Banks as each Bank will stipulate its own eligibility/ qualifying criteria.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for Clerk of a Public Sector Bank

    Prospective Candidates should ensure that they fulfill the specified eligibility criteria
    before applying for the Common Written Examination (CWE):

    I. Nationality / Citizenship:

    A candidate must be either -

    (i) a Citizen of India or

    (ii) a subject of Nepal or

    (iii) a subject of Bhutan or

    (iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the
    intention of permanently settling in India or

    (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka,East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly anganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

    II Age (As on 01.07.2011):

    Minimum: 20 Years Maximum: 30 Years The maximum age limit specified is applicable to General Category candidates.

    IBPS stands for Institute of Banking and Personnel Selection and it will conducts the Common Written examination (CWE) Twice in a year for the Recruitment of Probationary officer and clerical Post. For this year Both IBPS Bank Recruitment Examination was already completed and If you have missed the chance in this year then please apply for this examination next year.

    If you are Interested to apply for IBPS Clerical Recruitment Examination, then you have to fulfill any one of the eligibility Criteria :

    >> You have to complete your 10Th examination with minimum 60% Marks form a recognised Board.

    OR

    >> You have to completed your 12Th examination with minimum 50% Marks form a recognised Board.

    OR

    >> You have to completed your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised Board.

    Age Eligiblity Criteria :
    ----------------------

    The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) organises a Common written
    examination (CWE) for the recruitment of candidates for the Clerical Cadre posts
    in around 19 Public sector Banks excluding State Bank of India (SBI).

    The examination is conducted two times a year.It is necessary for you participate
    in this examination if you are aspiring to join Clerical Cadre posts in any of the

    Eligibility criteria for Bank clerk exams:-
    **Educational qualification is 12Th in any stream from any board of education.
    **Age limit:-

    IBPS stands for the INSTITUTE OF BANKING AND PERSONNEL SELECTION.

    ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CLERKS:

    1)You must be a graduate in any field from any recognized University.

    OR

    2)You must have passed 12th class with 50% marks.

    OR

    3)You must have passed 10th class with 60% marks.

    4)There is no criteria of minimum marks for the SC/ST category candidates.

    5)Your age must be between 18 to 28 years.

    THE SCHEME OF EXAMINATION IS:



    There is also NEGATIVE MARKING for each wrong answer of 0.25 marks.

    I've passed the IBPS clerk exam. I want to know that how much score do the banks want to get call for the interview? Is there any criteria of marks the banks want in our previous board exam to apply for the interview or is it the same criteria given by the IBPS to register for the written exam???
