candidate from clerical or supervisory staff cadre to appear

1. The JAIIB Examination will be of fully objective type (multiple choice) questions.

2. About 120 questions per subject will be asked for the duration
of two hours.
The Institute may, however, vary the number
of questions to be asked for a subject.

3. Each question paper will carry 100 marks.

A candidate who is not a member for the IIBF is not allowed to appear for this test. To become a member of the institute the candidate must be working in the banking field. The minimum qualification required for this post is matriculation. Candidates who have not completed matriculation can apply too if they have the recommendation from the manager of the bank where they are working. They should be working at least at the clerical level. To know whether a candidate is eligible for the test they need to mention their membership number to the authorities. By preparing for this test the candidates will gain knowledge in the various areas of banking like customer relations, accountancy at the basic level, day to day banking operations etc.

Appearing candidate must have passed M.Com examination with accountancy as one his subjects from recognized University.
Also C.A. / I.C.W.A. /C.S. / PGDBA in Finance of IIMs are also eligible.
Students only passing JAIIB can pass CAIIB .
Subjects under JAIIB examination are :

• Accounting and Finance for Bankers

• It's open to all ordinary member of institution .

Duration of examination :- 2 hour

Passing Criteria :-

(i)Pass : Minimum marks for pass in every subject - 50 out of 100 marks.


(ii) Candidate securing at least 45 marks in each subject with an aggregate of 50% marks
in all subjects of JAIIB examination in a single attempt will also be declared as having passed JAIIB Examination.

(iii) Candidates will be allowed to retain credits for the subject/s they have passed in one attempt
till the expiry of the time limit for passing the examination.
