    Pass percentage is sufficient to appear for GATE entrance exam.GATE entrance is held once in year.This exam score will be valid for 2 years.

    Eligibility criteria for GATE-2012 exam:
    Candidate should have complete B.E/B.Tech/Architecture/Statistical course
    Candidate being in final year with above mentioned course can also eligible.

    Important dates for GATE-2012 exam:
    Issuing of application form from 12th Sep 2011 to 17th Oct 2011.
    Exam will held on 29th Jan 2012.

    Hello Friend,

    GATE-Graduate Aptitude Test In Engineering.


    GATE is an all India test. The test is carried out jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology for admission to Masters in Technology.

    >>The GATE test duration is 3 hours.

    >>There are 65 questions with a maximum of 100 marks.

    >>Objective type questions are included in the GATE test

    >> In the AE and TF papers, there are 60 multiple type questions.

    >>Four alternatives will be there. Numerical questions have a number as the answer.

    Eligibility For Gate:

    The following categories to appear for GATE:


    >>Second year or more in the Integrated Masterís degree course (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology

    >>Candidates with eligibilities got through tests carried out by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE.

    >>Post graduates in Science/statistics/maths/computer application or applicants who are in the last year of these courses

    >>Students who are pursuing the last year of any of these courses

    >>If you have finish B.E/ B.Tech/B.Arch course.

    >>If you are in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Masterís degree course and Dual Degree course in Engineering/Technology.


    How to Apply:
    >>You can collect the GATE applications forms from the banks nearby.
    >>You could also pick up application forms from from the Zonal offices of IITs and IISB.
    >>You have to fill in application forms and send along with a DD. Online application facility is also there.
    >>The cost of the form Rs.1000. Online form cost is Rs.800 for OBC and general category students. For SC/ST students the cost is half of that.

    How to fill the Form:
    >>You can fill the application forms cautiously.
    >>You must check that whether there is application number printed on the form.
    >>It is necessary to quote the Application Number in every future contact with the respective zonal GATE office.
    >>It is better to take a copy of the application form.
    >> The Application Form will be stated imperfect if the instructions are not followed.
    >>You must darken the bubbles with HB pencils. It is good to follow the instructions mentioned in the form.

    GATE Exam is conducted for admission to M.Tech course in India's prestigious colleges IIT's . Other details regarding education requirements for GATE Exam are given below . If you are completing these requirements you can appear for M.Tech Exam ....

    Here is the requirements for M.Tech Exam .....

    You need to have Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology from any recognized university .
    Student of final year can also appear in exam .
    No age limit for appearing in gate exam .
    Pre-final year students are not eligible for GATE Exam .

    The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is conducted in eight zones such that One Indian Institute of Science(IISc),Bangalore and the Seven IITs(Bombay,Kharagpur,Kanpur,Guahati,Roorkee,Madra s,Delhi)

    The most important news in GATE-2012 is that Pre-final year student ca not appear in GATE 2012 exam.

    Eligibility for GATE:

    1:You should have a Bachelor's degree holder in Engineering or Technology or Architecture or Pharmacy of 4 years after 10+2.
    or
    2: Master degree holders in any branch of Science like Physics,Chemistry, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Applications etc....


    Some Important Tips:

    1:According to me,maintain a time table to allow yourself to devote minimum 6-8hrs per day for the GATE.

    2:Then try to collect the base or main material of any subject.

    3:.Study the Syllabus

    4:Try to solve the Previous questions papers

    5:Try to Solve more and more problems,

    6:Try to discover more and more new own tricks by which you can easily solve any problem in a less time .

    Dear friend,
    GATE exam is conducted by IITs to take admission in M.Tech course after B.Tec /B.E.
    Through GATE you can take admission in all IITs,IISB, and other premier institutes in India.


    The GATE test duration is 3 hours. There are 65 questions with a maximum of 100 marks. Objective type questions are included in the GATE test.

    So you have to prepare some aptitude question and you have to have deep knowledge of subjects related to your branch in your engineering degree.
    If you are from civil engg. then MCQ question will be from civil engg. subjects. Hence no need to go out of your syllabus.

    Eligibility for GATE exam is:

    1.You should be a Indian citizen.

    2.You should have done his/her degree in any of engg. trade.

    3.If you have Masterís degree in any branch of Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre Ė final year of such programs.

    4. You should have min 50% marks in degree.5% relaxation to SC/ST and 3% to OBC.

    hello my dear friend.

    For you to write GATE exam you will just have to pass B.TECH or anyother eqvivalent course there is no particular percentage required

    You are eligilble to write the exam evn when you are still doing your B.Tech as the score is valid till two year from the date written.

    For you to crack GATE will be easy if you work hard and be confident of your self.

    As it is an online test the results will be declared as soon as you write your exam and the rank will be declared.

    You wil be alloted college according to your rank gained .

    And GATE 2012 is conducted by IIT delhi this time and the following qualifications are required to appear for the GATE exam.

    About GATE exam :


    GATE is a objective type exam. The GATE examination consists of a single paper of 3 hours duration which contains 65 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks. And there will be negative marking system in GATE.

    GATE scores are valid for 2 years and so will hold by the time you pass out from your engineering degree.

    Basic Requirements for getting into IITs for M.Tech:

    Your B.Tech percentage must be above 60 percent without any backlogs.
    You must have a wonderful GATE Score or Good All India Rank, or Good percentile.


    Note :
    Pre-final year students are not eligible to write GATE 2012.

    The qualifiction required to writ the examination of GATE :

    The candidates must have Bachelor Degree in Engineering of a recognized University.
    The candidates must have opt 50 % marks .
    The Candidates must have Bachelor Degree in Engineering /Technology /Architecture.

    Or Master Degree in Computer Application /SCIENCE /Mathematics and Statistics .

    Or Final year candidates may also apply for GATE Examination .

    GATE ( Graduate Apititude Test in Engineering ) is conducted by IIS and IITs .

    The candidates who qualified in GATE entrance examination get admission to M:Tech course to IIT colleges.
