    Indian Civil Services which is the back bone controlling various Departments which run the Central and State Governments administration. The 3 types of Civil Services recruited through Civil Services Examination are
    1. Indian Services
    2. Central Services
    3. State Services


    It is one of the most popular exam in India which many young aspirants want to pursue their career to serve for the Nation. It is also considered as one of the toughest exam in India conducted by UPSC ( Union Public Service Commission ) every year.

    Nearly 4 lakh young aspirants go for the test for nearly 900 posts. The examination mainly consists of 3 rounds namely
    1. Prelims - conducted in month of May
    2. Main - held in October / November
    3. Interview - held in March / April

    Eligibility :

    Educational qualification :

    You must have completed your Degree from a recognized university or from affiliated colleges or from a deemed university under University Grants commission act 1956.

    Dude if you are in 3rd year of your B.Tech course you are not eligible for the Civil Services Examination. So dude in the final year of your study you can apply for CSE exam providing a letter as a proof for the completion of course.

    Age Criteria :

    You must have minimum of 21 years of age and maximum of 30 years of age for General category.

    Upper age relaxation is accepted if you belong to any of the following categories
    - SC / ST - 5 years.
    - Other BC - 3 years.
    - Kashmir domiciled - 5 years.
    - Ex-Service men - 5 years.

    Nationality :

    You must be
    - an Indian
    - a subject of Nepal
    - a subject of Bhutan
    - a Tibetan refugee
    - Indian migrated to other country.

    Number Of Attempts :

    - General Category : 4 attempts
    - Other BC : 7 attempts
    - SC / ST - No restriction.

    Hello Friend,

    To write Civil Exam you should be a graduate from any recognized university.

    If you want to become IAS Officer you have to write the UPSC Civil services examination.

    In your 12 standard you should have the subjects as maths,physics,and chemistry.

    The examination was conducted by UPSC Comission every year and the Notification of the examination was Published in the Month of February every year.

    If You want to pursue IPS you should be graduate from any recognized university.

    You should have the following subjects in your 12 standard maths,physics,chemistry.

    You Should pass in the physical fitness test conducted by the government.

    To Pursue IES course also you should have above eligibility.

    Age Limits :

    >Candidate must have the age between 21 years and 30 years .
    >There is a relaxation Upto a maximum of 5 years if a candidate belongs to a ST/Sc or ex service man.
    >There is a relaxation Up to 3 years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes .

    Number of Attempts:

    There will be only 4 attempts for the general category.

    There is no limit for SC/ST candidates .

    As you are perusing B.Tech you cannot apply now .After your Graduation you can apply for Civil Service Exams.

    Civil service exam is conducted by upsc every year once.

    Eligibility criteria for Civil service exam:
    Candidate should have complete graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.
    Age should be between 21 to 3 years.

    Civil service(Preliminary exam) Notification for this year:
    Issue of application form from 4th Feb 2012 to 5th March 2012.
    Exam will held on 20th May 2012.
    Civil service (Main Exam) notification for this year:
    Exam will held on 15th Oct 2012.
    Yet notification details,were not update,i hope they will be updating notification after preliminary exams

    hello friend,
    For appearing in CSE, minimum qualification is graduation in any stream.
    Presently you are 3rd year B.TECH student, so this year you are not applicable for CSE.
    Next year you can apply for CSE.

    Hi friend

    The Civil services exam is conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) every year .
    Being one of the toughest exams in the nation , this is also the most competititve one.


    ELIGIBILITY:

    1.You must be a graduate in any discipline from a recognised university.
    A pass is enough.

    2.You must be aged between 21 and 30.
    There is a relaxation in upper limit of 3 yrs for OBC and 5 yrs for SC/ST.

    The exam has three stages Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and an Interview.
    The prelims are held around May-June.It has objective questions. There are two papers (duration of each being 2 hrs).
    a) General studies and
    b)Optional subject: you can choose from Psychology, Sociology, Philosophy, Agriculture, Maths, Phy, Chem, Stats etc.
    It is not compulsory to choose the same subjects of your graduation.
    The results are declared in July-August and on being successful you will be called for the main examinations.

    The main written examination usually takes place in Oct-Nov, it comprises of 9 papers in all.
    On clearing this you will be called for interviews.

    You can appear for Civil service exam after completing the course/are being final year also.
    This exam is conducted by upsc every once.

    Eligibility criteria for Civil service exam:
    Candidate should have complete the graduation degree with any stream from a recognized university.
    Candidate being in final with any graduation degree course from a recognized university can also appear for this exam.
    Age should be between 21 to 30 years for General category candidates,21 to 33 years for OBC category candidates,21 to 35 years for SC/ST category candidates.

    Number of attempts:
    4 attempts for General category candidates
    7 attempts for OBC category candidates
    Unlimited attempts for SC/ST category candidates.

    The civil services examination are the most important examiantions in our
    country as it is held to select candidates for top Indian services like The
    IAS, IPS , IFS, IRS etc.

    The first stage of this examiantion is the Civil services aptitude test(CSAT).
    After you clear CSAT, you are eligible to appear in the next stage that is the
    Mains examination . Depening upon your performance in Mains you are given a
    call for the interview. Based on your combined performance in Mains and Interview
    you will be selected in any one of the services.

    The eligibility to appear in Civil services examination is that you must be
    a graduate i.e; you must hold a Bachelors degree in any discipline from a
    recognised institute by goverment of India.

    Also you can apply for this examination even if you are in your final year of
    your graduation. So you can appear in it the next year.

    But for appearing , Your age must be between 21 to 30 years , which means you
    must have attained 21 years of age in order to appear in this examination.
    You should start preparing right from now onwards and also being from a technical
    background will help you in securing good marks in sections of Quantitative aptitude,
    Logical reasoning, Analytical thinking, Data interpratation etc.

    Hi dude,The minimum qualification needed to apply for civil service exam is having a Degree from a reconized university.As you have already compleated your graduation you are eligible to apply for this exam.Civil services include IAS,IPS,IFS etc services..For apply for this exam you need to citizen of INDIA.Your age should not be less than 21 (or) not more than 30 years.If you belong to SC/ST then age criteria is 21-35 and for OBC it is 21-33.

    You can also apply if you are in the final year of your graduation.

    hi,

    No you are not eligible to appear for Civil services exam while pursuing your 3rd year. You need to Complete your graduation or can apply during your final year.

    The Civil Services exams are Conducted by UPSC(Union Public Service commission) and the exam is Conducted twice every year. The Notifications are given in the employment newspapers in the month of February or it is updated in the UPSC website. the Exam conducted by UPSC is named as CSAT(Civil Services Admission test).

    To appear for the exam:

    You need to Complete your Graduation from a recognized University. If you are applying for IES(Indian Engineering Service) then you need to complete your graduation in engineering from any one of the following streams:

    Civil engineering
    Mechanical engineering
    Electronics & telecommunication engineering
    Electrical engineering


    Upper age Relaxations Applicable for SC/ST and OBC candidates.
    Even Final year Students are eligible to appear for the exam.

    A general category Candidate is permitted to attempt 4 times.
    OBC Candidates can attempt 7 times.
    SC/ST candidates do not have any limits.

    As of 2012 the Civil Services exam Dates are:

    Notification about the exam: 4th February 2012
    Last date to apply for the exam: 5th March 2012
    Written exam date: 15th May 2012

    IES Exam dates:

    Notification about the exam: 26th February 2012
    Last date to apply for the exam: 25th March 2012
    Written exam date: 15th June 2012

    You can apply online or offline for the exam. If you are planning to apply offline then you can obtain the forms from the nearest head post offices located in your city.

    UPSC conducts Civil Services examination every year for IAS ,IPS IFS post.

    The minimum qualification requires for Civil Services exam is Graduation Degree in any Discipline from Recognized University.

    No boundation of stream and percentage, only candidates must have to pass .

    Elligibity:

    * Candidate should be graduate from recognized Universit.

    * Candidates age must be 21 to 30 years.
    Age relaxation for OBC is 3 years and SC or ST 5 years.

    * candidates must be physically fit.

    No , you can not write CWE (Civil Services Exam) , while pursuing in B.tech 3rd years.

    After completion or last year you can apply.

    Maximum no of Attempts allowed for Civil services.:

    General: 4
    OBC : 7
    SC ST : no limits
