    What is the process to become Bank PO being a Bank clerk at present?

    if i am a bank clerk and i want to become a bank po so what process for it ?

    Hi,
    To become as a bank PO you need to write the PO exam or some of the banks will conduct the internal exams for clerks so at that time if you get good marks in that exam they will increase your post and at the same time your salary will also increase.
    In some banks it is not possible to become as PO from the clerk post.
    The syllabus for internal exams is different compare with PO exam syllabus.

    Even if you are working as a bank clerk you can apply for the bank PO posts if you have the following eligibility.

    Eligibility for IBPS PO's :

    ->Your Percentage in 10th class must be 60% or above.
    - OR Your Inter Percent must be min. 50% OR
    ->You must pass final year degree,which is recognized by government of India.
    ->You should be a citizen of India.
    ->Your age must be between 20-30 years if you are from General Category
    - For SC/ST Candidates it is 5 years relaxation
    - For BC category students relaxation set as 3 years.
    - For the PH candidates 10 years and ex-service-men 5years.


    So, Please check out your age before applying for PO exams.

    Details of IBPS :
    IBPS conducts a Common Written Exam(CWE) every year to recruit
    Probessionary Officers(PO's)
    Clerks and
    Management Trainees

    IBPS Pattern and Syllabus::

    ->IBPS will organize a Common written examination(CWE) comprising Objective and Descriptive papers.
    ->Objective section carries 225 marks and should be completed in 150 minutes(1 1/2 hrs).
    ->The 250 questions in this section will include::
    - Verbal/Numeric Reasoning
    - General English
    - Questions related to Banking/Insurance/Investment sector,vomputers and typical quantitative aptitude.
    ->The Descriptive section (60 minute) will analyze the English writing caliber of You,and it carries 25 marks.

    Bank exam is a very competitive exam .Now a days every graduate is appearing for the Bank PO exams.

    The Education qualifications qualifications required are:

    You must pass graduation degree from recognized university.

    In addition, you must be a must be citizen of India.

    Age Limit To Appear in The Bank Exam:

    The minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum 28 years of age to general candidates.

    There is a age Relaxation for reservation candidates:

    > For Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe the age relaxation up to 5 years.

    > For Backward Classes the age relaxation up to 3 years.

    > Persons With Disability the age relaxation up to 10 years.

    As you are a B.Ed student you must have completed Graduation .So you can apply for the Bank Po exams.

    Eligiblity For Bank PO Examination :

    If you are already in a bank as a clerical post and interested to become bank PO, then yes you are eligible to apply for Bank PO Examination. You are also apply for Promotions paper and this paper is only for Bank employers. But the promotion held step by step, So if your aim is to become probationary officer, then you can apply for separate examination which was held every year.

    Various Banks Recruits probationary officer Every year and the Notification was declared every year in the employment Newspaper or in the Bank Official website in Recruitment/Career section. The eligibility criteria are vary form bank to bank. But Graduation is the minimum eligibility to apply for Bank PO Examination.

    IBPS Also conducts the Common Written examination every year and if you cracked this examination then you will get enter into any of the 19 Nationalized Banks, The list of Nationalized bank are availiable in the Notification when declared. To apply for IBPS CWE, you have to complete your Graduate degree course in any discipline form a recognised university, Final year graduates are Not apply for Bank PO Examination, To apply for Bank PO Examination, your age should not be more than 30 years and not less than 20 years, Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

    For SBI Bank Recruitment Examination, You must have to complete your graduate degree course in any discipline and your age should between 21 to 30 years, as per new rules, you can appear SBI Bank PO Examination only 4 times (If you are General candidates). So, Graduation is the Minimum eligibility criteria for Bank PO Examination. There is no minimum percentage is required, Only passed in graduation is enough.

    For Private banks, you have to complete your Graduation with Minimum 55% marks and your age should not be more than 25 years. So, Th eligibility criteria are vary form Banks to Banks, so its better to apply for Banks examination after study the Notification completely.

    All the Bank PO Examination was Objective and there will be Negative marking in the paper as well.

    So, please prepare for the examination well because the selection are based on written test include Objective test and descriptive test and then Group discussion and Personal Interviews.

    Bank Probationary Officer :-

    You must be citizen of India.

    There is no particular stream like Science or Commerce.

    IBPS bank conducts the both the examination.IBPS consist of 19 banking banks.

    If you are interested apply for IBPS bank examination,it is useful for you.Because you can to get job in any of bank from IBPS.All are nationalized banks.

    Eligibility criteria for IBPS Bank Po exam :-

    Degree from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.

    Your age should between 20 year to 30 years.

    Eligibility Criteria for IBPS Clerical examination :-

    10th with 60% marks OR

    12th with 50% marks OR

    Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.

    Relaxation is given to the various reserved categories.

    You can directly give the ibps exam conducted twice in a year.

    Yes you can become Bank PO(probationary officer) being clerk in the bank.
    You can prepare for IBPS PO exam, Almost 19 well known banks of India take recruit its employs from the result of this examination.
    The exam is conducted once a every year.
    Graduation is required to appear for the IBPS CWE(common written exam) for PO.
    You will be tested on reasoning, aptitude, general awareness and computer knowledge.

    Better option for you if you are not in a big reputed bank is to appear in clerical cadre of IBPS CWE.
    Your experience will help you in examination.

    the process forto become Bank PO being a Bank clerk at present first you all must qualify objective exam which is for maximum of 200marks and max time is 2hours.Then you have to qualify Descriptive test which is for 50marks and 60 minutes
    Then You attend for Group Discussion & Interview, Group Discussion for 20marks and interview for 30 marks
    Finally selected candidates are eligible for required job
