No, usually most of the universities accept either BE/B.tech or M.Sc as the qualification to do m.tech. However, if you are so eager to do m.tech, I would advise you to go for msc first then you can go for m.tech program. As you have IT background you can have very good future with good mtech programs. In a seminar I got to know about the importance of artificial intelligence, it is one of the most growing field in India and abroad. It is such a wide field that you can reach heights if you make your career in this field. So, I would advise you to go for this program.

Sorry to say this now you are not eligible for mtech. First you do msc after that you prepare gate exam and then get a seat in mtech. Or other option is mba. It is time saving process also. Think well and decide.

You may not be currently eligible.
However after doing your M.Sc you can do M TEch.
The eligibility to do M.Tech are

1.Bachelor degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.

2.Master degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent

3.Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/ Technology

There is no age limit to worry about.
To do M Tech in the best colleges you need to write GATE exam and clear it with a good rank.

Dear friend.
Let me first correct you that you cannot say now that you are a commerce student. As you are a studying bsc. IT so you are now the topper student among all the type of students.

To do M.tech there is only one way towards it for you.
As you are bsc. Student and students with bsc. Cannot go for m.tech directly after their graduation. You have to follow the steps:
1. Complete your post graduation in Msc.IT or any other area of science, maths, etc..
2. Apply for the Graduate Aptitude Test in engineering(GATE)
Let me tell you that this exam is compulsary even for the b.tech students as the score of these marks are considered everywhere to get admission in M.tech.

You can apply to the M.tech even in the final year also.

3. After qualifying the GATE apply in various Indian Exams for the M.tech course.

This is the main drawback for bsc. Students that they cannot go for GATE or M.tech directly after bsc. As b.tech can go for GATE directly.
Thats why the study plan of bsc. Students for M.tech becomes 10+2+3+2+2=M.tech.

So follow the above steps to go for M.TECH
