    What is the procedure to join Indian Police Services?

    Respected sir/Madam , I don't know how to apply in IPS exams can you please explain the whole procedure for entering in IPS exams ? Please explain the whole procedure.

    dear Indian police service is prestigious job like,IAS,IFS and other UPSC exams, this service is very prestigious service which you provide to the citizens of india, you have to do more hard work and you have to follow the below details to get selected in the IPS services. Mainly you have to clear UPSC examination; you will get the syllabus details below.
    education qualifications.
    You must have graduate degree in any discipline of any of the universities incorporated by an act of central or state legislature in india or other educational institutions established by an act of parliament.
    You are also eligible if you are in the final stage in your degree.
    age requirement
    your age must be 21 years of age on 1st of august.
    you must have 21-30 years of age to be qualified,
    you have to be clear that you are belong to the india and your the citizen of the india or you may be the part of Nepal,
    and a Tibetan refugee.
    if you are a Tibetan refugee than you must be in india before to the 1st January 1962.
    physical requirements
    • if you are a men than you must have 165 cms and you can have 160cms are also eligible.
    • if you are a women than you must have 150 cms and you can have 145cms are also eligible.
    • if you are a men than you must have 84cms and you can have 79 cms are also eligible.
    • if you are a women than you must have 79 cms and you can have 74cms are also eligible.
    • if you have a squint than you will be disqualified , you have to be be careful in the areas of physical requirements.
    the exam consists of three stages.
    • prelims,
    • mains,
    • and interview stage,
    1. current events of national and international importance,
    2. history of india and Indian national movement,
    3. india and world geography-physical,social,economics.
    1. comprehension,
    2. interpersonal skills including communication skills
    3. logical reasoning and analyticall ability,
    4. decision making and problem solving,
    5. general mental ability,
    6. basic numeracy
    7. english language.
    the above exam consists of 200 marks each you have to write this exam in two hours duration of time.
    consists of descriptive type.
    1. english ,
    the main reason for this exam is that you can understand the language clearly,and to understand the prose ,and to express the ideas clearly and correctly.
    1. essay writing,
    1. general studies.
    the above three papers consists of 200 marks each , and you have to write the exam in 3 hours of time.
    For applying IPS 2013, you can apply through online mode or offline mode.
    If you are interested in the former mode, then you have to download the application form from the official website.
    Online application includes two stages i.e.
    a) registration 1
    b) registration 2.
    Post submission of personal details, and you will be asked to print the SBI bank challan on A4 size paper. The printed pay slip is needed to proceed further in order to get the bank’s seal against Rs.50.
    In offline mode, you can get the application form from the specified post offices through the country. The cost of the application form in offline mode is Rs.30. Next, s

    • mains exam is on 8th November 2013

    IPS stands for Indian Police service.IPS exam is conducted by UPSC. There are some criteria you have to follow for appearing in IPS exam.This exam is conduct through Civil Service Exam .

    Those candidate have completed graduation degree from recognized university are eligible for IPS exam.

    Final year student are applicable for IPS Exam.

    Your age should be in between 21-30 years for general candidate.Age relaxation for OBC candidate is 3years and for SC/ST candidate is 5 years.

    The maximum attempts for Sc/ST candidate is Unlimited. For OBC candidate it is 7 years and for general candidate it will be 5 years.Also you must be citizen of India.

    IPS exam is consist of 3 process - Preliminary Exam . Mains Exam and Personal Interview .

    You can apply for this exam through online or offline by UPSC exam .The Cost of Examination Application form Rs.100/- for General and OBC candidates and Free for SC/ST candidates .

    IPS stands for Indian Police Services.

    It is a well known Civil Service exam in India.

    The necessary requirements for appearing into IPS exam are given below:-

    --> The candidate must be having Indian Nationality.

    --> The candidate must have completed his/her graduation in any respective field from a recognized university.

    --> Final year graduation students are also eligible.

    --> Requirement of age is 21-30 years for General Candidates.

    --> Relaxation of age is there for reserved categories.

    --> SC/ST candidates can apply up to 35 years of age and OBC candidates can apply up to 33 years of age.

    The examination application form can be filled online.

    IPS is conducted by UPSC.

    UPSC stands for Union Public Servive Commission.

    UPSC conducts various Civil Services exams like IAS, IPS etc.

    IPS Entrance Exam :

    Indian Police Service entrance exam is conducted by the union public service commission under the civil services examination every year once.

    So, if you want become a IPS officer, then the selection procedure is based on the preliminary examination and main examination and personality/interviews conducted by the UPSC. For attending the IPS officer entrance exams required requirements are given bellow:

    Required Requirements :

    Required educational qualifications are you must completed the GRADUATION from recognized university and here not required any percentage.

    Age limit:-

    For Open category:- 21-30 year

    For OBC category:- 21-33 YEAR

    For ST/SC category:- 21-37 year

    Number of Attempts:-

    For open category:- 4 attempts

    For ST/SC category:- 7 attempts

    The examination is Conducted in 2 stages :

    >> Preliminary examination
    >> Main examination

    Preliminary examination is Objective and there are 2 papers in this examination and if you have cracked the Preliminary examination then you are eligible for Main examination, main examination is Descriptive and you have to choose the Subjects on the basis of Graduation.

    In order to appear for the Indian Police Services that is the IPS you need to appear for the Indian civil Services recruitments which are being conducted through out the India for the selection process and all the interested candidates can appear for the recruitment of IPS after their graduation course of study..

    Generally the procedure to join the IPS services is you need to appear for the Civil services recruitments for IPS and the selections are done year long recruitment by following rules of recruitment and the selection is done through the
    Preliminary Examination(CSAT)
    Main Examination
    These are the main recruitment procedure for the IPS services and you can appear for these services by satisfying the eligibility required for the examination

    The CSAT examination is of the written objective type questions and it consists of the two papers mainly or the two sections and you need to clear this for appearing to the next round of the recruitment process.
    The next os the mains and in this you need to write the theory part and it contains subjects in which you need to take up two optional subjects and prepare for it and appear for examination.
    At last after the selection you will be called for the finale interview process of recruitment.

    ## Indian Police Services(IPS) examination is conducted UPSC once every year
    ## The minimum educational qualification required to apply for IPS EXAMINATION(civil services exam) is GRADUATION in any discipline from recognised institution/university

    Union Public Service Commission conducting this exam every year once.

    Eligibility criteria:-

    The candidate should be complete bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

    You must be a citizen of India.

    Final year graduates are also eligible.

    Age criteria:-
