To join INDIAN ARMY at age of 17 years you have to appear for the NDA exam if you wanted to join INDIAN ARMY as an OFFICER.

And if you wanted to join INDIAN ARMY as an Recruit then you must attend the Bharti's conducted at different places across india.

So if you wanted to join INDIAN ARMY as an OFFICER then your educational qualification must be 12th class.

If you are appearing for the Board exams then also you are eligible for the exams.

If you are of the age 17 that is you have qualified class 10th , then you may not be able to join Indian Army as an Officer.
Because for an Officer Post ou are required to clear class 12 th and after that you have to give NDA exam.

well there r just two ways to join the army at the undergraduate level......................first is through nda entry for which u have to give an exam conducted by upsc....
if u clear the exam then u have to face ssb interview, medical and then finally merit............exam is held twice a year....in april and august...........
the second way is through technical entry....in this u have fill the online form on www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.......after which u have to take out the printout of the form and send it to mentioned address by post............for this entry u need to have more then 70% in pcm in 12th to apply...........based on the applications a cutoff is decided which is generally abt 80 %...........so if have more then 80% in pcm then can expect call for ssb...after which the process is same as in nda

At the age of 17 years to join in Indian Army the procedures are as follows:-

1.Only unmarried male Indian citizen having 12th standard can write NDA to join in Indian Army.
